I've never read Paul's personality as you do. He may get caught up in doing grand things a big overmuch on occasion. But I still credit his heart motives with being more right than wrong. Time will tell.

Bible prophecy is not a puzzle waiting to be put together by sensationalists with the help of pagan scientists and secularists. There are no red heiffer and Aaronic gene puzzle pieces. There is no prefab temple just waiting to go up once the mosque is leveled. There is no secret, anti-Israel conspiracy plan hidden in the bowels of some EU building.

Just a quick thought. Russia is more Christian today then is was thought to be (pinging Destro as he might have some more insight on the state of the ROC). Russia and Israel are working together, and have been increasing that bond since Beslen. Russia might be the force talked about, but I doubt it. (IMHO, Turkey would be a better bet).

As for 11/2 being a victory for the Church, I prefer to call it a respite. The elite and powerful are very angry that the Church (Catholic, Lutheran, Orthodox, Evangelical etc) turned out for Bush. The verbal attacks began on 11/3, who knows what may happen next. That being said, I thank God daily for the election results, and it gave me more hope.

Some people forget why God put the end-times prophecies in the Bible. Because he loves us and does not wihs for any of us to go through it.

Sin is not without consequence, and I agree... only a fool argues the scriptures.
Being out of the will of God normally involves one form of sin or another. However, It is very important to establish the distinction between temporal and eternal consequence. It is critical to resolve this issue because it strikes at the very heart of our faith. If there is ANY question in your mind about this, I encourage you to resolve it. It cannot be both ways.
We are either saved by our works or we are not.
If you can be condemned by your works, then you can be saved by them.
If you cannot be saved by your works, you cannot be condemned by them either.
Christians who believe that they can lose their salvation are simply ignorant of what salvation really is, and of the BLOOD covenant which it represents. To suggest that we can reverse what God has already promised and vowed to do is to suggest that God goes back on His word.
Take another look at the message this teaching says to the unbeliever! Why should anyone put their faith in Jesus if their own fallability can make it all for nothing???
