The problem with the rapture cult is that it has so many subsets to it as it is interpreted by the leading theorists of this movement. For example, there is a danger that it may alter American foriegn policy in such a way as to cause harm. For the longest time Russia or China or both were considered part of the army of gog/magog. So whatever Russia does or even China does that may benefit America and thus the current situation may be rebuffed by these people through influence on politicians. That does not mean Russia or China are "good" nations but it is another to think all they are doing on the world stage is leading to a fianl battle and they are always up to no good.
