Give me time, Mack. I think with enough freepmails I can convert a few of them. ;o)
Carry on with your camel swallowing (Matthew 23:24).
Ok let me amend the phrase I used. God is offended by sin, His wrath at man is the result of sin . Sin = the rebellion of man against Gods revealed commands
It would help if you guys were consistent. Earlier we were told that the Pharaoh, even though he did what God wanted, was still sinful cause he had the wrong "motives."
Not at all inconsistent. I do not know the motives.. It was sin because Pharaoh had the ability to allow the people to go , he hardened His own heart before God acted to harden it
This was ordained as we see in the prefigurement of being saved by the blood in the passover.
This goes back to the question , why was man made . Man was made for the glory of God. God showing His power and might brought glory to His name , nations feared Him. ( Rahab indicated this)
Creation is about God not men
Now, you've invented something totally outside of your professed code, the idea of something being "against the will of God."
I agree with your definition. Unfortunately, if you do, then you can't be a Calvinist.
God hates sin, but it is a tool in His Hand
We picked up RnMom in a recent draft pick. I believe we traded Iggy for her :)
Well then you are not shy to show us this revelation of yours in the word right?
The technical term is "anti-calories". Diet Cherry Pepsi has them, too.
Please explain how Pharaoh had the ability to allow the people to go.
Please explain, in general, exactly how man chooses to sin.
Dang I was saving that one.
Calvinism holds the following two positions:
1. God is absolutely sovereign.
2. People who sin are acting against the will of God.
Hmmm...
You got robbed. I wouldn't have blown a draft pick on me. Maybe a dirty t-shirt and some sweatsocks.
If you are sincere and not just baiting me then do what I did. Go with an open mind, pray about it, and just read the Red words in the NT. You will find that Christ died for all of us and children go to heaven.
2. People who sin are acting against the will of God.
Let me guess - every time someone has posted Romans 9:19 on this thread, you two were out getting coffee?
What about the men who crucified Christ according to the predetermined plan of the Father? Was God surprised by Calvary? Did God sin when he did not spare His own son? Absolutely not. Did the men who held an illegal trial with false witnesses sin? Of course they did.
What about the nations God used to judge Israel? On what basis did He later judge them?
On the contrary. We found her value to be inestimably high.
Hmm not sure how to interpret this. Do you mean 5 days and they haven't converted any of us or 5 days and we haven't converted any of them? :')
and just read the Red words in the NT.
Is that a joke? Do you honestly believe the "red" words are any more or less the Woird of God than the remainder? On what basis do you come to your conclusion?
Leave her alone. I've mispelled "read" before too. :-)
No matter how you slice it, once you throw in the numbers for losing Iggy - twice - the statistics aren't not pretty for BigMack's team :D
