I believe the Holy Father had to let the evil the AmChurch flower, and the flower of evil is always self-destruction.

This is not an earthly fight, whatever it is. I wonder how much the pope is counting on the heterodox prelates self-destructing, rather than just removing them. Sort of a proof to the flock that orthodoxy is the way to go. Yes. That is what I was driving at in my post no. 22.

Even Canon Law does not accept charges against a priest unless the evidence is sound.

I was just wondering...
IS THE ALBANY CORONER ON VACATION???
How long does it take to determine cause of death for a "suicide" whose body was found with a bottle of pills nearby? It's been over 2 weeks.
If Fr. Minkler had enough pills in him to kill him, they would have found that right away.
Wouldn't they?
Especially since they knew what drug they were looking for.
Any medical experts out there?

I am continually astounded that you cling to this notion that Hubbard's so-called reputation is the most important issue at stake in this world. Does Canon law allow for demonic, homosexualists to snatch souls?

I wonder how much the pope is counting on the heterodox prelates self-destructing, rather than just removing them. That does not sound like the role of a leader. Those bishops don't merely self destruct. They destroy faith, lives and churches first.
So, if they can't be taken out by the pope and they can't be taken out by the laity, what are we left with?

psst...
This is a possible criminal investigation, in which case those details need to be kept quiet until any sort of interrogation takes place.

If you were falsely charged with sexual abuse, I would do the same for you.
Seeking Hubbard's removal for heterodoxy is one thing; using trumped-up abuse charges is something else.
Canon Law will not remove Hubbard for sexual abuse if the charges are not believeable. These aren't.

A complete toxicology lab set can take up to three weeks. Obviously, the coroner is taking his time.

I am interested in justice, not legal gymnastics. If a man roamed your area murdering 3 year old girls, would you care how he was stopped?

Lighting.
I don't know what the ultimate answer is, but I don't think whining about inaction is doing any good. Again, I don't think this is as simple as so many seem to think. There's something else afoot. A number of priests are dead. Don't forget that.

People I love have been falsely accused. Some have been vindicated. One cousin went to prison until a DNA test was able to set him free after five years of incarceration.
Is your defense of Bishop Hubbard because he is a member of your family or a dear friend?
I could understand that. It would appear, however, that you simply show up to defend every AmChurch leader and condemn every person who accuses them of some hurtful or evil deed.
You appear dispassionate upon these threads almost as if you were a paid emissary of some USCCB committee. But if you have genuine passion for a friend, or because you have had friends or family falsely accused and it has hurt you -- I can begin to understand why you would not be willing to entertain the veracity of an accuser.
That being said, your responses with regard to Bishop Hubbard have been well beyond those of one who may have had a history of false accusation in one's family or among one's friends. Your strained defense of Bishop Hubbard has itself strained credulity as you attack the lawyer Aretakis - who after all is just a lawyer - and as you attack those who accuse Bishop Hubbard, which makes you seem like an old style Chancery attack dog.
Now you plead a process of the new Code of Canon Law as if it somehow trumps the rights of the Laity in the same Canon Law, and I simply cannot fathom what you are about or what you are trying to do here other than perhaps mischief. Or are you running interference for someone, or merely trying to prop up the slowly imploding AmChurch agenda.
Whatever the case may be, your opinions are not convincing with regard to legal matters, Canon Law, emotional appeals, or your constant assaults on those who recognize the rot within the Church in America and pray and work for healing and renewal.

Especially since they knew what drug they were looking for. Through a lab method known as GC/MS, they could have that answer in a matter of hours. You can be sure they know.

Flowers have seeds. Pray for fire.
And then there is my grandmothers devotion to St. Barbara. It is an old County Donegal devotion to St. Barbara beseeching her to send lightning to strike down an enemy.
