Oh dear! What are the girls going to see riding the Metro? I didn't even consider ... they were preschoolers the last time we were there. (Sigh) At least they won't be walking around Georgetown in this weather :-).

Well...You got yerself one of those free choice, condom using, none of your damn business, mackeral snapping Roman Catholics here.

The funny thing is this woman actually believes that there should be some kind of rigid monolithic one size Catholicism. I don't think she understands that the Church is one billion strong. You don't get to be one billion strong by being exclusionary.

Catholicism is the only faith that could have Pat Buchanan. Daniel Ortega, William F Buckley and The Berrigan Brothers in the same pew reading from the same St. Joseph's Missal.

In the end Catholicism is not its hierarchy or its dogma. It is the body of Catholics striving to find its way in a complex world with many moral challenges.

Who are you talking about? I wrote this article, and I am a 23 year old male.

Actually it's the One True Church that generally waits for Jesus to send its heretics to Hell when it's all over, rather than allow itself to fission like an amoeba whenever the flavor-of-the-week theofad takes root. OTOH, let's not fool ourselves that a lot of so-called self-identified Catholics who nakedly defy Her Immutable And Eternally True Teachings aren't going to be crispy critters when they die.

I was horrified to see such a statement at this Metro station, which is used by hundreds of Catholic University students every day, most of whom are Catholic.

No accident Pyro. More people lose their faith or nearly lose their faith (myself included) in the college years. CFC knows that. If the kids look at that sign every single day the message will imprint in their subconscious in a short period of time. Most people don't have the grounding in faith to withstand the onslaught of the material world.

Unfortunately, the Washington Metro Area Transit Authority put a plastic protector in front of the ad, so I can do no such thing. ;-) Besides, they have video cameras all over the place on the platforms.

You got yerself one of those free choice

You do realize the 'choice' in Catholics for a Free Choice is abortion, do you not? You do recall what Scripture says, what Christ taught and what the Church has taught for 2000 years about harming the innocent?

LOL! I guess some people have low expectations for male prose. How does one "stiffen" prose? Excite it? ;-)

Who you trying to kid? Free choice, condom using, none of your damn business Catholics don't need to snap mackeral any more.

They gave up Fish on Fridays when they gave up the rest of the Faith. They just refuse to give up the title "Catholic." Which is the only "Catholic" thing about them.

Righto.. one of those Opus Dei types right? Well, I got bad news for ya, cupcake. For the last 600 years folks have been trying to corral Catholics into a single file. The best part is.. trying to herd Catholics is like trying to herd cats. By the time you corral 10% of them the other 90% have wandered off. That is the strength and beauty of Catholicism. It' so ....catholic ( the adjective)

Is this CFFC poster behind glass? I see nothing whatsoever wrong with tearing it down if possible without harming the Metro property, or simply taping a Catholic poster on the glass to hide it. (Get computer printer sticky paper...like the kind you use for address labels but full page...print out a Priests For Life poster...be hard to remove if you placed it just prior to the March For Life ;-)

Sounds like that could be an add for any secular organization!

Why do you call yourself a Catholic?
