Looks like Rush was right on McNabb. Time to bench that boy.

Can anyone say Donovan McNabb is overrated? I knew you could.

Wow - as a Cowboy fan I haven't been this excited in a long time.
Quincy Carter almost looks like a different player.

Can you change the title to "Rush was right!"? Thanks.

Actually, Rush just said that McNabb was getting props because he is black. I think he was way off-base considering the number of black QB's.

I don't see why y'all are dissing McNabb. 11-26 for 94 yards (52 yards on one pass play, 42 yards on all the rest).
Whaddaya want? (/sarcasm)

Great game. McNabb was somewhere between ordinary and awful.
How 'bout them Cowboys!

"Hail Mary" reigns again in Dallas. Great job, Tuna!
Here's to a Vikes - Cowboys meeting in the playoffs.

Actually, Rush just said that McNabb was getting props because he is black. I think he was way off-base considering the number of black QB's. Yep. If Rush had just said "McNabb is overrated," there wouldn't have been an argument.
But gratutiously making it a "black quarterback" issue was just plain stupid, and Rush deserved the ass-kicking he got.
BTW, who says coaches don't matter? Dallas has the SAME TEAM as last year, with a couple of exceptions.
It's The Tuna that's responsible for getting a mediocre team to play way above its head.
Or, maybe the Cowboys aren't so mediocre.

Rush said:
- McNabb is overrated.
- The sports press in general is reluctant to criticize a black quarterback.
If there was any doubt about this 2 weeks ago, there sure isn't any now. He has been awful the past two weeks, and the volume of criticism doesn't match his awfulness.

Iggles?
Even if you change the "I" to an "E" you'd still be a letter off.

Looks like Rush was right on McNabb. Time to bench that boy. Not yet! Philly plays my NY Giants next week, and the way the Giants have been playing lately, they'll need all the help they can get!
To: dfwgator
The Eagles probably would have won if it hadn't been for the idiot coach of the Eagles and his on side kickoff.

Oh yeah and one too many "g"'s in there!
To: litany_of_lies
After time has gone by, I think Rush's point is McNabb is overrated (I agree, totally), and that the press won't say so because he is black. When you think about it, does the press trash QB's of certain skin color? Reverse racism?

Last week, the Eagles got the calls against the Redskins.
This week the officials tried in the fourth quarter, but Donovan just didn't cooperate. Philly had the ball 3 and 8 or so with about 7 minutes left. Dallas blitzes. Donovan immediately unloads to a receiver to his right. Late flag comes out. Apparently a receiver to the left (where he never hinted at looking) was held. First down. NEXT PLAY, Dallas puts pressure on him and the TWO lineman right next to McNabb were both holding badly. No call.
Philly moves downfield and scores on a 20ish yard run. Replays show at least two Cowboys were carried out of position by their jerseys. No call. Philly comes from behind. Donovan's a hero.
But wait. Quincy Carter, who's looking more like the real deal than McNabb, brings Dallas back. The NFL just couldn't bring themselves to call holding on the Cowboys I guess. Donovan looked average (though his receivers weren't helping him too much).
How any real football fan can say with a straight face that the Eagles' success hasn't been almost entirely defense driven is beyond me. It's like saying the old Steelers won in the 70s because of their run and shoot offense.

That's how it's pronounced in many parts of Pennsylvania. The spelling was intentional.

Not yet! Philly plays my NY Giants next week, and the way the Giants have been playing lately, they'll need all the help they can get! Not to worry. If the Eagles bench McNabb, they admit Rush was right. His completion percentage may go single digit before they bench him.
