A bit late (was posting elsewhere)...No runs, no hits, 1 left. After 2 1/2, it's still Cubs 0, Marlins 0.

Let's shut 'em down and see some Cubs' BATS.

The fans didn't mind when Harry Caray left off the "Root, root, root for the Cubbies" when the Brewers were in the AL and interleague play (a Pope Bud I abomination) was just starting, but now that the Brewers are in the same division, they really get on your case for wearing Brewer Blue south (which is as it should be :-)
NFL update:
Baltimore 16, Arizona 7.
Hit-and-run executed almost perfectly by Castillo to move Pierre to 2nd. Runner on 2nd and 2 out for Pudge.

Re:
and see some Cubs' BATS. Agreed. There's no such thing as to many runs.

Bako lets another one get through him! He did that the other night. Miller is much better at stopping those pitches in the dirt.

Here comes Don Zimmer after Zamboni!
Oops! Got mixed up there.
To: Charles Henrickson
Pull Zambrano NOW!!! Wild pitch, then hit batsman loads them up for the Marlins.

Whew!

Lee surrenders meekly.

Bases loaded and no one scores. That hurts the Marlins.

Bases loaded and no one scores. That hurts the Marlins. Now their pitcher needs a little rattling.

The Cubs get out of a major jam. No runs, 1 hit, 1 hit batsman, 3 left. We go to the 4th still tied at nothing-nothing.
NFL updates:
NY Jets 13, Buffalo 3 (half)
Baltimore 16, Arizona 10 (half)
Denver 7, Pittsburgh 6 (half)
Sosa knocked down by a wild pitch by Beckett (Pudge was set up outside).

Beckett's hummer was much closer to Sammy's head than Clemens' was to Ramirez. Manny WAAYYY overreacted yesterday.
To: steveegg
Dammit, Sammy....

When the Cubs all stood up in the dugout right after that, I thought "Here we go again..."

Another 1-2-3 inning. No runs, no hits, nobody left. At the end of 3 1/2, it's tied at 0.

We need to start talking about this no-hitter that Beckett has going. Beckett's line so far:
4 IP, 0 hits, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 6 K
