I did that one time. Only except it was after getting rained on all afternoon and I think we called it a "Gentlemen's Club".
1 run, 1 hit, 1 left for the Marlins. After 8 complete, it's now 4-0 Marlins.

Jim O'Toole - that's going back a ways.
Lousy NFL.com; they said the Steeler 2-point conversion failed at first. It succeeded and survived a Denver challenge. That's all knotted up at 14.

That's the word I was looking for!!!

They gotta give Beckett the chance to close, but his pitch count is over 100.

Too bad 100 pitches isn't affecting him too much. Lofton pops it up for out #1.

This has got to be one of Beckett's best games.

If Beckett finishes, radio says it will be his first complete game as a pro player at any level.
To: ChadGore
Two outs away for Beckett. I hope he makes it. Next game is for the Cubs, if this one isn't.

We'll let them have this one. There was no way, if the Marlins had any pride, they would let the Cubs sweep them at home.
Now they have to talk to Prior and Wood at Wrigley.
To: Chi-townChief
The O'Toole game I'm referring to was in 1964 or 1965.
To: WhiteKnuckles
I figured Cubs in 6 and looks like that holds.
To: WhiteKnuckles
2 gone as Grudzielanek grounds to 2nd.
Sammy! Sammy! Sammy!

They don't know who's going to start for the Marlins' next game?
(Provided that a big ol' miracle doesn't happen real quick here.)
