The Potential Dangers of Sucralose

Here's Dr. Mercola's page on Aspartame:

Aspartame

More:

Aspartame Side Effects

Just about every major diet cola drink has these bad sweeteners in them .. I used to be hooked on Diet Coke .. but for the last 4-5 years, I'm a pure water girl .. NO sodas .. made a HUGE difference.

When I think about it now, I have to apologize for not remembering that I got sick from the lowcarb shake because it had SPLENDA/SUCRALOSE in it .. NOT aspartame. I strictly avoid aspartame because of the reaction I get to it, and hadn't really used anything to my knowledge with Splenda/Sucralose, so I decided to try it. BIG MISTAKE!

What this points out more than anything is: HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO TAKE THE SECONDS TO READ THE INGREDIENTS. Companies have to, thank God, disclose their contents. I've used saccarin comfortably in my coffee for years, especially since it's had a pretty long-term research cycle that has dispelled most of the initial myths .. but I'm going to get Stevia. It is a plant, pure and simple.

The internet is your friend .. if you find something you're unsure of, take the time and check it out. It's your and your family's health at stake here. God Bless All!

I went to buy vitamins the other day and noticed that sucralose was listed on the label. I'd never heard of it before, but knew that it was a sugar. This was in a children's formula (the only place where you can get low-dose vitamins). So, a word of warning:

They're putting these fake sweeteners in children's vitamins.

Just ran across your post from Oct. I'm wondering if you have tried Suzanne Somers "Somersweet"? I have begun having kidney paid after drinking anything with Aspartame in it, so have stopped using it and returned all Diet sodas to the market.
