WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Coleen Rowley, the Minneapolis FBI agent who accused bureau headquarters of bungling chances to foil the Sept. 11 attacks, is criticizing the Bush administration for "whittling away our civil liberties."
In an opinion piece published in today's Star Tribune, Rowley takes issue with U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft's assertion in a Twin Cities speech last month that America "is freer today than at any time in the history of human freedom."
"Well, this American disagrees!" Rowley wrote.

Sheesh! Talk about a humongous chip on the shoulder. Now "whistleblower" Rowley presumes to freely hurl attacks on Ashcroft. Methinks Rowley had a leftist agenda all along.

I notice a lot of extreme left-wing types are now in law enforcement organizations and also organizations involved in intelligence gathering. Is it any wonder that several of the interpreters in Gitmo are now suspected of aiding the terrorists?

Here is yet another example of Rowley's extreme leftist agenda. She even condemns our attack on Afghanistan as somehow worsening anti-Muslim biases:
"...the social scientists point to other government actions following 9/11 (including the government's roundup and detention of illegal immigrants, the special registration requirements that single out students and visitors from Muslim nations, and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq) as sending "social signals" that are worsening these biases."

This lady is as shallow as standing water. She wants it both ways. Either laws let the good guys take the next step required to "connect the dots" or they don't. She seems to be opting for the latter.

When I read that, I knew she was from the other side.

Employment in the Federal government has been the hiding place of liberal socialists to the point that every organization from the State Dept, to the FBI, to the INS needs to be upended and shaken out.
These liberal ticks have it set up so they can't be fired, while they freely suck a salary off the bled to death taxpayer for jobs whose job description they will not adhere to or perform, while undermining the very reason for the organization.
The taxpaying public should storm Congress for legislation demanding the firing of federal employees who work against the function of the agency they are entrenched in, and/or, fail to perform their job discription. Job performance should be up for review every six months.

Do you suppose this airhead got into the FBI under affirmative action?

Employment in the Federal government has been the hiding place of liberal socialists to the point that every organization from the State Dept, to the FBI, to the INS needs to be upended and shaken out. Years ago there were virtually no leftists in the FBI. Same for the CIA (except for secret turncoats). Nowadays we have the sad state of folks like Rowley and interpreters in Gitmo who are aiding the terrorists.

The funny thing about Rowley is that she has presented herself as just some FBI agent doing her job. But when the light of publicity on her waned, she couldn't help herself by revealing in this article that she has a leftist agenda. It's been there all along but until know she made some effort to hide it. No longer.

I wouldn't be surprised if she tosses her hat in the ring for a political office.
