I don't know why Manny tried to steal a base in that situation. They were hitting Roger pretty good with only one out. Now we have a strikeout and a caught stealing and Roger is out of the inning.

Roger was not very sharp this inning, perhaps he will settle down if the Yanks can put a run or two on the board but the way Pedro looked in the 1st, it's not going to be easy. Remember that Pedro and Roger faced each other in the ALCS series in 1999. Roger was hammered and the Sox won something like 13-2. Of course, that was the only game that the Sox won in that series.

Leadoff double against Pedro...

Trying to play little ball never works against Pedro. You have to try to get 2-3 runs on hits. He gives you maybe one chance a game.

Both Roger and Pedro have been sharper, to understate the matter considerably.

Looks like both pitchers getting hit early on. It looked like Pedro was going to get out of this inning but then gives up the clutch RBI single. So it is a 2-1 game with Roger coming back for the second inning. Let's see if the Sox can do more damage.
