[history]
In Ghettopoly, there's no little guy with a top hat, cane and white mustache. Instead, there's a bandanna-wearing African American man holding an Uzi in one hand and a bottle of malt liquor in the other.
"Playa" (player) pieces include a 40-ouncer of malt, a marijuana leaf, a basketball and a "hoe," while "Smitty's XXX Peep Show," "Hernando's Chop Shop" and "Busta Rap Recording" are some of the properties.

Just got mine sent to me and will be playing it this weekend. I guess one could call it racist but since everyone gets dinged I don't see how people can gripe too loudly. The game takes on the seedier elements of life and does so with a touch of humor.

Isn't it strange that it's ok to make fun of right-wing, white, christians (the "Church Lady", all the depictions of the mirror-sunglassed southern cops, the stupid southern politicians, etc.) but have a little fun with the reality of the political base of the left-wing and you are labeled insensitive, racist, etc.?

I'd guess a great number of those looking to buy it are doing so only because it's (1) in the news and (2) has been, in effect, "banned" and will therefore exist only in severely limited quantities.
Savvy owners will immediately put their treasure on eBay while the gettin's good. If I'm Urban Outfitters, that's exactly what I'm doing, instead of selling the inventory through normal means. (Hyper-sensitive consumers will refer to this as "gouging.")
Ban it, and they will come.

They could come out with a game about white crackers and I would not care.
But this kind of game does give me some ideas. How about a game about Michael Jackson? Your game piece starts out as a black kid and eventually turns into a white woman.
The Jesse Jackson game? You get to shakedown big companies and if you land on "Adultry Avenue" you get to father another child?
How about The Judicial Watch Game? You collect millions of dollars, sue all sorts of people but you never win.
The list goes on and on......

So I guess the next thing to ban will be rap music CDs since they cover the same topics as this game. These CDs even use the N word, so clearly they are racist.
Btw, if I ( a white guy ) am driving through a black neighborhood and the N word comes from inside my car, is that hate speech? What if the utterance comes from my CD player?
I'm offended. Can I be an instant millionaire now?
