Once a junkie, almost always a junkie. What great support you've got for Rush.
OTOH, this is going to be rough for all of us; the DUmmies and other assorted libs are going to have a field day.

"the DUmmies and other assorted libs are going to have a field day."
This will fade away after a week. It will resurface when he comes back to the airwaves. It will die after 3-4 days from that.
It is funny that Downey, Jr. gets slack 4 or 5 times for using ILLEGAL drugs. I think the general public will forgive legal drug dependence.
Also, I deal with druggies every day and rarely (never??) have I seen a legal drug dependent person do time. I have only been involved with dealers. I have yet to see their customers go down.
In Arizona, we have Prop. 200 which makes jail impossible for 1st and 2nd time ILLEGAL drug possession. I have NEVER seen anyone charged for possession of LEGAL drugs (unless they had massive quantities for sale).

People who celebrate other people's troubles only hurt themselves.
This will and should raise interesting policy questions here at FR, and I look forward to delving into those.
But separately, I pray for Rush's recovery and honor him for being brave enough to tell the truth.
