Excerpts from Schwarzenegger press conference as governor-elect (DefactoAmnesty? On Day 1?)

"There's a bill that Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) has introduced that I think is terrific. It gives temporary working permits to immigrants so they can come in and out of this country, out of this state, and also, you know, there's another idea. Undocumented immigrants who come here before August 2003 can apply for visas especially if they don't have a criminal background. And if they have a job right now, they can apply for that visa. So there are different programs I want to push in that direction to help undocumented immigrants."

What does he consider a criminal background? If an illegal has a job obtained by presenting stolen Social Security numbers or fraudulent documents, then he has committed a felony crime. I can see allowing only those completely self-sufficient illegals stay on a guest basis ---- never drove without insurance, no DWI's, no shoplifting, no accessing of any government services or programs, no unpaid medical bills. But in exchange drop all welfare programs for all immigrants --- and better yet just end all welfare programs for everyone.

"ROTFLMAO"

For some reason, I feel you have a problem with the truth.

One thing I always told my children was, "it makes no difference what you do so long as it is an honest days work". And what I told you is a true story whether you like it or not.

I have no problems with theb truth, I do however find it funny that you lauded a post with so many ignorant statements.

It seems to me that neither you, nor your bloviating idol have a semblance of a relationship with truth.

There's a world of difference between your kids working some menial jobs while on their way to careers, and the kind of dedicated help that farmers and others come to expect from immigrants.

That you don't see that is actually not surprising, that you would not strive to make your children achieve to their highest capabilities makes you, in my eyes, a poor parent, my sons may be happy cutting grass while in school, but I know they will not be happy cutting grass as a career.

Liberals have control of the reproductive habits of Americans?

No more than Nazism did on the germans. Abortion is the #1 plank of the democratic nazi party. 40 million babies killed so far - that's half an entire generation! So, to answer your question - YES. People are like sheep and they conform to the culture - mass instinct - herd instinct.

B.S.

No one is forcing anyone to have an abortion.

To blame the people who created the choice idea is pure crap. We need to grow up, quit blaming things on the boogeyman, and take personal responsibility for our actions.

Your argument is the same as blaming the gun for the crime, and not the person who pulled the trigger.

Same concept. The gun, left alone can't kill anyone, Roe v. Wade would mean nothing if as a people, we believed abortion to be murder.

No one is forcing anyone to have an abortion.

No, it's just being MARKETED to them like the dumb sheep that they are. Marketing is very powerful - need examples of the power of marketing?

It is A FACT that 40 million unborn have been murdered since 1973. Deal with it - that is why social security is going broke - no one to pick up the tab! And that is why our population is shrinking! Add 40 mil. to the population and you have positive growth. Deal with the facts or refute them. Those are your only two choices.

Your argument is the same as blaming the gun for the crime, and not the person who pulled the trigger.

Bad analogy. People kill babies, not inanimate objects. They fall for the lies and the marketing - just like dumb driftless sheep.

At least half of America does believe it's murder. But, regardless, do people decide what is and isn't murder? Or has this already been decided by God? Who decides what right and wrong is? That's the question. If you say man does, then you are a moral relativist.

"No, it's just being MARKETED to them like the dumb sheep that they are."

It's easy to call everyone "sheep" and blame the evil boogeyman, but God gave us free will, and it is free will that we're exercising when we make the choice to kill. You haven't had an abortion (I am assuming)...why are you immune to the boogeyman's black magic?

"THEM" is US.

I don't have to deal with anything, birth rates and work force replacement numbers were declining long before 1973.

We are the boogeyman, not some evil, all-powerful, mind-controlling, political ideology.

You want to fix things?

Start figuring out that abortion is the symptom, not the disease.

Or maybe, the bad remedy for the evil disease.

And that's the half that's not committing murder, in spite of the "marketing".

"Bad analogy."

It's you talking about the number of abortions since 1973, the year Roe v. Wade was enacted.

Just another inanimate object, Roe v. Wade.

"...then you are a moral relativist."

There was a time in my tenure here in FR, when I would be more than willing to engage in all sorts of name-calling, and vitriol, I was probably better than most at it. I've become tired of that practice, or maybe just decided to grow up and discuss issues sans the infantile behavior.

If you wish to engage in that sort of thing, that's fine, but not with me.

If you wish to continue the discussion, that's fine as well...without the personal attacks.

Argue with the facts. 40 million dead, society in self-destrruction (all of Europe too). And there is ZERO doubt it is due to abortion (one cause) as well as feminism (women don't want to have babies - career is first), etc., and the liberal reshaping of the traditional family. Destroy the family, destroy a civilization. You obviously have little understanding on this topic. I don't have time for your games or your bad analogies. Good-bye.

Are you offended by "moral relativist"? If you don't believe in moral absolutes, that is what you MUST be. Those are the only two choices.

It's what I do for a living.

And it's only effectual if you allow it to be.

It is still a personal choice.

That's what's wrong with society today, the idea that we should not be held responsible for our own actions, and that these actions come about as a result of mindless decisions that can be blamed on one or another outside influence.

Here's a shocker:

People who have unprotected sex know the dangers of that sex, and they know that it can lead to an unwanted pregnancy. They do it anyway because we have all come to accept the myriad excuses for promiscuity and fornication we've been developing for the past two thousand or so years.

God made fornication a sin.

People who make the voluntary choice of having their unborn baby murdered, know that it is a wrong thing to do, but they also know that we place blame on either political ideology, or some notion set in place by a Court, thirty years ago, thus alleviating them of any guilt.

Man made murder a right.

It is still a personal choice.

All moral decisions are personal choices. That makes everyone responsible for their decisions. That doesn't change the fact that they have believed LIES, and it doesn't make the LIARS any less accountable.

They don't believe any lies, they are ignoring the truth and embracing the lie you are gifting them with, to shroud themselves from culpability and personal responsibility.

The people who make the choice to have an abortion are completely responsible for that abortion, not some non-existent, mind-controlling boogeyman. Your argument simply makes it easier for anyone to have an abortion by giving them an "out" for their decision.

Your argument is the antithesis of the argument that we should be making about abortions, you are giving people who have an abortion something other than themselves to blame for their decision.

You are making the person who made the choice to have an abortion a "victim" of some higher power, and alleviating them from the guilt of remembering that the one true victim was the murdered fetus, and that every decision leading up to, and including, that murder, was theirs, and theirs alone.

You have poor reading comprehension. I have no idea where you are getting your STRAW MAN, but you are not arguing against my position. You have chosen some position out of thin air - but it isn't mine. I don't have any more time to discuss this with someone who doesn't read. This is absurd - go away.
