>>>Staying in the race and insuring Davis ouster is NOT the same as being a Republican. Sometimes you have to be a team player and McClintock by his actions has shown himself to not be a team player.

First off, McClintock was holding to his word to his supporters and wasn't about to back down under pressure. I admire his principles. I don't support liberals, even if they have an R next to their name. That's why I didn't support Arnold. I think the California GOP went left of center to support Arnold. In that regard, I think the California GOP sold out their conservative principles to join Arnold's team. The ultimate goal of conservatism is to triumph over liberalism. Not the other way around. You have your priorities backwards.

well i'd say california conservatism has a pretty poor record of triumph over liberalism. scleriotic dogma isn't enough...

mcclintock the second rate state senator is a pretty sad poster boy for california conservatism -- he would get his clock cleaned by boxer or feinstein, unless he were riding on the "left-wing" schwarzenegger's coat tails...

mcclintock can go back to the tomato patch he came from...

To a point I agree with you. Problem is, they haven't had much of an alternative lately. California has been electing people like liberal Boy Davis and before him, centrist Pete Wilson as their governors for the last 13 1/2 years. McClintock would have brought a fresh agenda to Sacremento.

>>>mcclintock the second rate state senator

You don't what you're talkoing about. McClintock was not only the top GOP vote getter in California's last election, he also received more votes on election day 2002, then any GOP candidate running for office in the entire nation.

Yeah right. You don't sound like a Reagan conservative. You sound like a Schwarzenegger liberal. So what are you doing on this conservative website? Besides, what does a Chilean know about American politics. And if you are an American, why don't you fly the USA flag?
