Have to disagree with your assessment of typical Mexican immigrants. Overall, they are more Republican than most Republicans.

It must depend on where you live. I am down here in south Texas, better known as "the valley". My friends mother, hispanic, who is 80 years old and born here in the US will tell you she has never voted anything but democrat and will never vote republican. She was totally disappointed when Bush was elected. The population is heavily hispanic probably 90%.

This is one of the red areas of Texas.
