You base your opinion on the actions of which members of Chalcedon, exactly? Or are you including them in the "religious right" that is active in Virginia?

I studied Chalcedon's writings and talked with some of their members some 15 years ago. They wrote about theology, culture, and some politics, but unlike the "religious right" their main focus wasn't politics. They patterned themselves on the Calvinists of the American founding era, who were involved with society and government, in contrast to "fundamentalist" Christians who withdrew into a subculture in the early 20th century.
