I believe Luskin is a free-market conservative...but whether true or no he doesn't have to be defensive about "starve the beast". It's a legitimate point of view.

Please. Even you can't believe that. They chose him because he had great credentials which they believed would make him effective in a very limited, specialized arena. That he's turned into PAUL KRUGMAN DREADED NEMESIS OF THE RIGHT is entirely due to his extraordinary talents.
