Nancy Pelosi's speech that Rush just played is the "exact" speech I heard last night by Bob Mulholland and then later by Terry McAwful. These people are as ignorant as addicts who can't admit their problems. They blame others for their faults...and until they can admit their problems, I believe they will continue to fail. Cali's problems began long before Bush was even president. The rolling blackoouts started during CLinton as did the Dot.Com bust. And exactly how is Bush responsible for Cali's problems when they were taking in excess of $25 million in revenues...but spending in excess of $45 million. Davis was buying votes around the state...not Bush.

I have an account over there and a screen name which I'm not going to mention. I've adopted the persona of a Capitol Hill Democratic insider. I ply them with "inside" knowledge about what's going on in politics. It's a hoot- they'll believe anything you say. I had them going for a while about secret orgies that religious-right Congressmen go to.

I was just over in an AOL News/Politics chat room. The leftist swine are claiming that our military is comprised of only Democrats! They say they are the only ones who are willing to fight for their country. It is obvious not a single one ever wore the uniform. They are delusional (especially now with CA nominally in GOP hands!)

And as they try to portray Arnold as not a real Republican because of his liberal social positions, the fact remains that the heart of Republcanism is limited government and fiscal responsibility. These idiots just don't get it.

I will be a little more kind and mildly chastise you for the use of an ad hominem, but you are essentialy right. Social conservatives are just one group under the 'big tent' of the Republican Party. Granted a welcome and important one, but not the sole nor necessarily a majority group. I imagine that if the most extreem social conservatives, the ones others have called the 'Taliban Wing' were in total control, there would be a viable libertarian(small "l")/constitutionalist party that would break away and perpetually fight them for second place behind the Democrats.
