He lost me instantly when he hopped on to the "Should Arnold resign based on the LA Times hit piece?"
Too complicated for him to understand?
Up til that instant, I was honestly not sure whether I would vote my conscience (McClintock) or for Arnold and kick liberal butt.
I have neither the power nor the desire to change any minds on the matter. I just thought I would comment on the way I heard it.
That's not exactly what he said. Are you engaging in selective hearing? He said IF the accusations proved to be true, he should resign. And, he also expressed his extreme skepticism about the truth of the charges.
I really think a lot of people are being unfair to McClintock and projecting attitudes and statements which do not reflect reality.
Do you dispute that he was entirely fair to Arnold during the debate and on the campaign trail - he NEVER attacked him, not once, and even gave Arnold opportunities to get by without specifics on debate questions by saying he agreed with Tom.
Please don't start piling on one of our own - let's not hold a higher standard for conservatives (they must be "team players") than we do for mod/libs. And don't forget that if Tom had not stayed in the race, a lot of conservatives would have not had a reason to go to the polls and the recall may have failed.
