Confusion is understandable...their postion is one derived from the internal effort at constant "compartmentalization" of morally conflicting ideas and behavior...i.e. it is the outward manifestation of a borderline sociopathic thought process. the Clinton duo evidence this in its most mature form presently.

Your comments remind me that generally Conservatives work from a world-view, when deciding on issues. And their positions mirror one another. Supporting the family means supporting parental choice in education, the right to life campaign, marriage, personal responsibility, family values, etc.
The liberals seem to cherry-pick their ideas and quite often they do not mesh.
For instance, how can the labor unions support Democrats, when Democrats for the most part support the Environmental lobbyists who want to curb automobile production, which will then decrease the number of jobs that the manufacturers offer to the union laborer at the assembly plant? :)
