He was an illegal alien. This has been rectified.
He knew it obviously, and did nothing to rectify the situation before willfully committing fraud to join the military.
He did rectify it- he joined the military. His problem is fixed now.
Being given legal status still doesn't change the fact that he went about it the wrong way. He was in violation of federal immigration law. He committed fraud and was rewarded for it by being allowed to stay in this country in the first place, allowed to join the military and then given legal status. I guess the upside of rewarding illegals for breaking our laws is that I still get paid 70 grand a year whether or not the government wants to enforce immigration laws.
