I hope that if Arnold S wins, he and his people never give Rush Limbaugh the time of day. Mclintock was the ultimate spoiler and Limbaugh the ultimate coward in all this. Rush was making defense of Arnold noises today, like the real two faced coward he is. Wants to cozy up to the likely winner. After being the biggest encouragement to Mclintock staying in and possibly delivering Governor Bustamante. If Arnold winds with a split republican vote, it will be truly remarkable.

I would like to take a moment to ask for donations.
It should be clear to all conservatives by now that the left intends to demonize us. They don't just disagree with us, they hate us. And worse, they want to get other people to hate us.
Places like Free Republic drive the left batty.
Please donate. Thanks for your consideration.

I agree. Seems the "true conservatives" eat their own, to their own demise.
To: RedBloodedAmerican
I don't live in California, so I get to ponder upon who I would vote for consequence-free, and it would have to be McClintock.

I am still trying to decide. I really like McClintock because he is honest, shares my values and has a great plan. Arnold is a goal achiever & has been able to achieve every goal he ever set for himself. If his goal is to fix CA....he will do it.
I am torn over voting for the man I think should be governor and the man who will probably win & may need my vote.
Tom is well respected but outnumbered in the the legislature. He may be of better use in the Senate than the governors office. Arnold will use his charm & influence to change minds....I am leaning to Arnold even though I would rather vote for Tom.
AARRRHHHH I must make up my mind soon!!!

So just put an R beside that name and who cares what they stand for! A vote for McClintock is to send fear to every level of the Republican party of what happens when you support a pro-gay, pro-abortion, anti-gun candidate!
To: RedBloodedAmerican
They are aware that if it were just Bustamante against McClintock, McClintock would lose.Wrong. That's a lie that is constantly repeated, and it needs to be exposed every time it's uttered.
"Furthermore, when McClintock is pitted against just Bustamante, among probable voters the Republican state senator beats the Democratic candidate handily -- by 19 percentage points." Source
Face it, Swartie supporters: You were used by liberals, once again.

That's exactly where I think most of the Arnold supporters are at this time. You aren't alone. Get Davis out and keep Busta out at this date and time.

Call it real politics or guerilla politics or incremental politics or pragmatic politics. Call it what you want, but most conservatives can live with Schwarzenegger and they know they can't live with Bustamante--that's because most of these conservatives are the wrong ethnicity for that guy. ** And, that's really the choice--Bustamante or Schwarzenegger--no matter how many dumb talk-show-calling-conservatives (TSCCs) call into conservative talk shows and make it appear that all conservatives or rightists are for McClintock. They're wrong. Most smart conservatives are for Schwarzenegger. McClintock is this year's version of all the losing conservative Republicans who the TSCCs got behind in years past. Thinking of voting for McClintock instead of for Arnold ?? (post #544) ...
** Cruz 'for me everything, for you, nada da** thing' Bustamante ...

Separated at birth ?? ...

mater matter
[Can't some Arnold supporters even use a spell checker?]
;-)
Seriously, Arnold would be campaigning from somewhere to the left of St. Petersburg if it wasn't for Tom.
It's one thing to be pragmatic, but it's a different and vile thing to decry a conservative whose main fault seems to be (of all things) sticking to his word.
The success of this recall and of Arnold may help bring other recalls and eventually something of a parliamentary system of government into being in the U.S. In my view this is a good thing because ...
WTF???
Obligatory "go figure". :-(

Nope, I think many of Toms supporters are going thru this. I was supporting Tom until all the mess came out with Arnold. That crap really pissed me off & if electing Arnold will anger the liberals....I am all for it.
Of course, I made sure my other half registered to vote this time (1st time in 20+ years).....and he is voting for Arnold so I may be able to vote Tom & not feel like I am being a spoiler.

I remember one time Castro invited a bunch of these Hollywood actors, including Arnold, to Cuba for some type of festival with Castro or something. I think all of them went except Arnold. He rejected the offer. He wanted nothing to do with Castro. I applaud him and would vote for him if I were in California.

I know you're going to get a lot of free advice (intockMcClay - did I just say that?), and I've given my arguments over and over. All I would say to you now is this: Regardless of whom you vote for, know that you were stabbed in the back by the GOP leadership. They had no excuse for throwing their support to Arnold instead of McClintock. As the polling data that I linked to at #13 prove, McClintock is very electable. They deliberately set out to sabotage his election. They knew exactly what they were doing.
