"Sorry to hear you have so much depth."

OH COME ON! I expected better than that...

Man if you are gonna try and trade witty barbs you need to bone up some.

Here let me offer up some witty responses:

Farts is damned funny!

Good for you, its great you have a hobby at which you excel.

Or:

Let me guess you learned the finer points of flatulance from your mom.

Or:

How nice for you, I bet you are a featured guest at the annual Grange Bean Dinner.

***********************************************

Man how disappointing.

Everyone know it. Everyone farts. Yes, the same idiotic argument is used with respect to the word "f--k." Some "educated" ones will even point out that it's very old, going back to 14th sentury or so...

We all do that, but we do not do that in public. We urinate. But we do not do that in public. We do many things, but certain notions of propriety dictate the place and time. Civility is considered elitist, and majority is behind you.

The aforementioned distinction is actually the very essence of manners --- and, yes, taste as well. That you have not clue about the distinctionat is a reflection on the state of our cultuure.

How such a word could be considered a bad thing It's not the word --- in how many more ways can I explain that? A knife is not offensive, and words by themselves are not. It's the context, and it appears that you have never even understood that.

How such a word could be considered a bad thing is only an indication of our stupidity when it comes to bodily functions.

Again wrong: the word "flatulence" is typically used when one needs to DISCUSS that function. But then, again, you find jokes about that funny. I have nothing more to say.

So it does, but that word is universally accepted as obscene. "Fart" is not. Neither is "ass," particularly in the sense used by this coffee company. As I pointed out, the word "ass" appears regularly in the KJV Bible. No doubt pre-adolescent boys snicker every time they hear it, but who cares?

I do not use f***, or c*** in my speech, ever, because both words, even though of long usage in the English language, offend almost everyone. It is a long way from using "ass" as a funny part of a name for a coffee. Same with the "big butt" beer mentioned elsewhere in this thread.

Our language is always fun, especially when considering multiple meanings of words. Plays on words are always amusing.

While "ass" has a couple of widely recognized meanings, the f*** word does not.

Now, you'll have to excuse me. I have to go pet my pussy cat.

Nothing like relaxing with a Big But Beer while sitting under your Big Ass Fan on a hot day.

Slightly off topic, but why do some folks here type true profanity with the root-word ass using dollar symbols, as in A$$[edit]. Is there some sort of mitigating factor involved that allows them to circumvent the 'no profanity' restriction? I never saw the memo.

I mean, do people truly believe that using a dollar-symbol absolves them of responsibility for the language they are using?
