You raise a good point regarding what I've written. What I meant by that statement is that California has been seen as a state that is very liberal in its leaning, one of the most liberal in the nation. What is the saying regarding the belief that everything happens first in California?
California is a symbol of liberalism, which is why many conservatives are now pointing to California as a good example of where liberalism leads. Regardless, thanks for your comment.

Despite my concerns over your characterization of California I think you wrote the best article of the day. My criticism is a nit really, and not central to your thesis. They are going to lose it big time. I think you may be right about that, and as far as I know your the first to call it. Good job.
