Reminding all Americans of the 2000 election and renewing the hatred among their voters that they stirred up back then. They need massive hatred in order to beat Bush in 2004.
That same hatred while stirrig up their base caused many to change their voter affiliation to Republican. Nobody wins elections on hatred.
