One scenario apparently unmentioned. If AS wins the Dems will immediately organize another RECALL election. If a powerful vote getter like Podesta or Feinstein runs AS could be out in a matter of months.
Podesta or Feinstein wins the Part 2 vote...
And the Part 1 vote goes 80-20 against recall (c8

"I hesitate to take too seriously an article which includes such an obvious and prominant gaff."
You raise a good point regarding what I've written. What I meant by that statement is that California has been seen as a state that is very liberal in its leaning, one of the most liberal in the nation. What is the saying regarding the belief that everything happens first in California?
California is a symbol of liberalism, which is why many conservatives are now pointing to California as a good example of where liberalism leads. Regardless, thanks for your comment.

Liberals, when shot at, will try to "understand their rage" and work with NGOs to engage in dialogue.
Conservatives simply shoot back. Being right-wing gun nuts, they're probably going to have a better hit rate (c8

Would it have been that hard to appoint a Democrat as head of Homeland Security, in a "bring us together" spirit? Well, to appoint one who wasn't a traitor, yes, it would have been pretty hard.
Psst! We also thought, and still think, he's pretty dumb
But he's still outfoxed you, and that's your real problem, isn't it, Mr. Kinsley? Your ego couldn't take the radical deflation.

"We expected some soothing bipartisan balm."
Interesting. Bush did offer a conciliatory tone to Democrats, but Daschle responded by arranging a coup in the Senate so that he could get power back, then immediately embarked upon a mission to stall and/or derail anything that the President wanted to accomplish. After that little episode, I'm shocked that they would expect any further attempts at cooperation/power-sharing.

I can't wait to see the minions melt down. Better get the wine now. It's gonna be a fun night if Arnold takes the trophy! It might be a good idea for people to get themselves a DUmmy poster name so they can be unmercifully taunted tonight! You'll probably get banned in 1 post unless you're quick, so you'd better make it a good one on a hot thread!

They're already organizing riots for the GOP convention in NYC.

The only problem with "armed conflict" is that based on their own stupid rules and laws, it is only the RIGHT who is ARMED anymore! hehehehehe. Bring em on!

Despite my concerns over your characterization of California I think you wrote the best article of the day. My criticism is a nit really, and not central to your thesis. They are going to lose it big time. I think you may be right about that, and as far as I know your the first to call it. Good job.

Does this mean their contributions will be redirected to the Sadaam Fedahyin?

"I would not be surprised if we see a lot more violence / assassination attempts in the next year aimed at conservatives."
And the left are the ones actively trying to disarm Americans....I guess it makes sense. If I were a criminal with the intent of doing harm to a group of people, I would want them to be disarmed too.

Indeed, the democrat left will sell their children, grand mothers and will burn the USA to the ground to hold on to power. Sadly for the USA, they have the power to do it (they own the media, the judicial system, they have the homosexuals, the aclu, the feminists, the majority of the blacks, and the hispanics, the trial layers, the unions,....).
The majority, which are mostly sheeples will sit on the sidelines and watch the country burn.
