Legitimizing the Homosexual Lifestyle
Chalcedon Foundation ^ | October 2003 | Warren Kelley

Posted on 10/07/2003 10:39:27 AM PDT by Vindiciae Contra TyrannoSCOTUS

Earlier this year, the Supreme Court overturned the Texas state law against homosexual sodomy in the landmark case Lawrence v. Texas. In the years to come we will look back on this ruling as a major sea change in our culture. This is perhaps the largest single victory ever achieved by the homosexual community.

For many years, homosexual activists have fought to overturn state laws condemning homosexual activity. In 1986, 25 states had laws similar to the one in Texas. When the Supreme Court took up this case earlier this year the number had been cut to 13. The decision by the court effectively swept away those 13.

The Homosexual Agenda
Even more frightening than the victories homosexuals have won is the reason they took up the battle in the first place. Was it because they were afraid of being arrested for their activity? The court itself recognized that prosecutions for homosexual activity are extremely rare and when they do happen it is usually because the activity took place in public.

The motivation for overturning the laws against homosexuality is the removal of any public denouncement of the "gay" lifestyle. Homosexual activists have worked long and hard to achieve moral equality between their lifestyle and that of heterosexuals.

Having struck down the remaining state laws condemning their behavior they will now fight even harder to achieve their "holy grail" — full endorsement of their lifestyle with government-sanctioned homosexual marriage.

It is likely that before the end of the year either a Massachusetts or New Jersey court will rule in favor of a same-sex marriage case. When they do, it will open the floodgates, and homosexual couples will rush to those states to have their relationships officially recognized. Upon their return home they will use the courts to force their home states to recognize their new "marriages." Soon, this issue will be pushed to the Supreme Court as well.

Same Sex Marriages
In writing the majority decision in Lawrence v. Texas, Justice Kennedy made a point of stopping short of endorsing same-sex marriage. In response to Kennedy’s statement that the ruling "does not involve whether the government must give formal recognition" to homosexual marriage, Justice Scalia wrote, "Do not believe it."

Prior to his attempt to allay fears that the court was creating same-sex marriage, Justice Kennedy referred to constitutional protections afforded to "personal decisions relating to marriage, procreation, contraception, family relationships, child rearing, and education." He then went on to say that anyone "in a homosexual relationship may seek autonomy for these purposes, just as heterosexual persons do."

All through Justice Kennedy’s decision and Justice O’Conner’s concurring opinion are repeated admonitions about discriminating against homosexual individuals. Over and over they both make it clear that any right or opportunity permitted to heterosexuals should be given equally to homosexuals and any attempt by the state to do otherwise would be viewed by the court as an unconstitutional act.

The full meaning and impact of this decision has yet to fully register in the minds of most Americans. In fact, even if the court were to force same-sex marriage on the American people today, most would not fully understand the gravity of the situation.

No Moral Basis for Law
So what are the effects of this decision? Space will not allow me to fully explore them. Let’s start by introducing the moral implications. The decision, as Justice Scalia stated it, "effectively decrees the end of all morals legislation." If the majority of the American people cannot agree to make a law based on a moral belief, then what will be the basis for law?

If we cannot make a law against homosexual sodomy, how can we, as Scalia points out, criminalize "fornication, bigamy, adultery, adult incest, bestiality, and obscenity"? Many in the homosexual community believe that any sexual relationship or sexual act should be permitted, with anyone … and at any age.

If, as the court has decided, a majority moral belief is not a legitimate basis for a law, how can we say it is improper for a young boy’s scoutmaster to introduce him to sexual activity? How can we limit marriage to one man and one woman? Why not two women, or two men, or two men and one woman?

If the moral implications were not enough, what about the health and financial consequences of legitimizing this lifestyle? Most Americans don’t understand all that is involved in the homosexual lifestyle and therefore are woefully ignorant of its inherent dangers.

Monogamy in Same Sex Marriages
A study published in the New England Journal of Medicine found that the average non-infected male homosexual has 106 sexual partners per year. Another study released in July of this year found that the average homosexual relationship lasted only 1 years. The study also found that men in homosexual relationships had an average of eight partners per year outside of those relationships.

A study conducted by two University of Vermont psychology professors contrasted couples living in the newly formed "civil unions" with homosexuals not in unions, and with married heterosexual couples. They found that 21 percent of married men felt that sex outside of marriage was OK. Among homosexuals, 66 percent of homosexual men in committed relationships and 50 percent of homosexual men in civil unions felt the same way.

The fact that promiscuity is rampant among homosexuals is dramatically demonstrated in the landmark study conducted by researchers Bell and Weinber in the mid-1970s. The shocking results of their study found that:

43 percent of gay men estimated having sex with 500 or more different partners. 75 percent estimated 100 or more partners. 28 percent estimated more than 1,000 partners.

79 percent said that more than half of their partners were anonymous.

70 percent said that more than half of their partners were men with whom they had sex only once.

This type of activity has consequences. Due to their promiscuous lifestyle, homosexual males are 14 times more likely to contract syphilis than male heterosexuals and are thousands of times more likely to contract AIDS.

Added to the dangers of this extreme promiscuity are the dangers of the actual sexual practices of homosexuals. These two factors combined are why studies show that homosexuals account for 80 percent of America’s most serious sexually transmitted diseases. This is in spite of the fact that they represent only a tiny fraction of the overall population.

A study done in the 1990s by the Family Research Institute found that the median age of death for a homosexual male not having AIDS was only 42. According to the same study only 9 percent lived to old age.

In light of these facts we need to ask ourselves if this is a lifestyle that we, as a nation, should endorse as being on par with normal heterosexual relationships.

If we chose to do so, we can only expect that the numbers of people involved in this lifestyle will increase. And when those numbers increase, we cannot even begin to estimate the strain it will put on our healthcare system.

The Supreme Court has made it clear how it will rule when the issue of same-sex marriage comes before it. The only way to overrule a court that is out of touch with the wishes of the American people and the reality of the consequences of such a decision is to amend the Constitution. The recent ruling has given renewed support to a measure before Congress called the Federal Marriage Amendment.

The amendment simply states that marriage is a union between one man and one woman and prohibits passing any law to the contrary. While the process of amending the Constitution is intentionally difficult, this amendment has a real chance of succeeding and needs our full support.

The psychological and sociological explanations to origins also match with the persuasive body of the scientific studies suggests that those who engage in homosexual activities are more proportionately apt to molest children and that homosexual teachers are proportionately more likely to make sexual advances towards children than heterosexual teachers. Informative Report:Issues on Homosexuality

The Child Molestation Research and Prevention Institute also has some compelling information on the high rate of same-sex molestations in the United States. Read what North American Man-Boy Love Association leader David Thorstad says about the relationship between pedophilia and homosexuality: Pederasty and Homosexuality

From the forthcoming book "Public Education Against America" by Marlin Maddoux

The homosexual rights movement is built on a foundation of lies, language manipulation, and factual disinformation.

Seeking to gain total acceptance of their destructive behaviors, their propaganda machines work ceaselessly, pumping their poisonous lies and deceptions into the cultural bloodstream of America.

But one cold hard fact that is always airbrushed out of the public image of the gay lifestyle is the number of young men and women who are dying of AIDS, hepatitis, and new strains of TB, all diseases whose ascendance is largely a result of homosexual activity.

For example, researchers at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver, British Columbia published a report in 1997 in the International Journal of Epidemiology that concluded: "In a major Canadian centre, life expectancy at age 20 years for gay and bisexual men is 8 to 20 years less than for all men. If the same pattern of mortality were to continue, we estimate that nearly half of gay and bisexual men currently 20 years of age will not reach their 65th birthday."

Gay authors Marshall Kirk and Hunter Madsen write, "Alas, it turns out that, on this point, public myth is supported by fact. There is more promiscuity among gays . . . than among straights. They cite the pattern among gay males of the "non-stick, one-swipe, disposable lover." Even among "married" gay males, they observe, "the cheating ratio, given enough time, approaches 100%."

Do statistics back up Kirk and Madsen’s contention that "there is more promiscuity among gays?" Let’s look at the facts! To start with, one widely regarded study, published in the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine, had a representative sample of non-infected male homosexuals keep sexual diaries. On the average, these gay men had 106 partners per year."

That was just the tip of the iceberg.

A survey of gay men by researchers Bell and Weinberg in the mid-1970s found that only 14 percent of gay males, and only 40 percent of lesbians, were living in "monogamous" relationships.

And as we have seen, monogamy in the homosexual definition of the word entails a much shorter duration than the standard meaning of the term. In fact, many studies indicated that the range for a so-called monogamous relationship for a homosexual often lasts no more than nine months, almost never more than five years (and even this is extremely rare)."
The Bell and Weinberg study found that:

A later study by these two researchers estimated that only 2 percent of homosexuals could be considered monogamous or even semi-monogamous (having ten or less lifetime partners). Lesbians are often credited with more fidelity than gay men, and this is true to a point. Yet even here, the rate of instability seems to exceed any definition of a monogamous, normal community.

One study found that 38 percent of lesbians surveyed had between 11 and 300 sexual partners. Another revealed that 41 percent of lesbians admitted to having between 10 and 500 lifetime partners.

Yet even snapshots of typical homosexual behavior fail to give the total picture. A sizeable percentage of the gay community is not merely promiscuous, but wildly so, and therefore at risk for AIDS.

Research into at-risk or HIV-positive homosexuals reveal astonishing figures. In one study, "homosexual men . . . reported a median of 1,160 lifetime sexual partners." In another, "the median number of lifetime sexual partners of over 4,000 homosexual respondents was 49.5. Many individuals reported ranges of 300-400, and 272 of them reported over 1,000 different lifetime partners."

Another article in the Annals of Internal Medicine listed over fifteen severe injuries, diseases, or syndromes, including rectal tearing and hepatitis A and B, that commonly occur in gay males as a direct result of oral and anal sex.

The article also said that the Centers for Disease Control reported that almost half of male patients with syphilis claimed homosexual or bisexual contacts, despite the fact that gays are only a small percentage of the population. Compiled studies by leading medical researchers show that:

It is also now known that hepatitis A, and a virulent, antibiotic-resistant strain of tuberculosis are rampant in the gay community. Other self-destructive patterns have been observed. Researchers have noted a disproportionate abuse of drugs and alcohol by homosexuals, as well as higher levels of emotional mental problems, social instability and disruptive behavior.

The final indictment by nature of the gay "lifestyle" is that is in reality a deathstyle. The effect of AIDS on the gay community is well known. Not so well known, however, is the short lifespan for those not suffering from AIDS. In 1991 and 1992 the Family Research Institute surveyed 5,371 obituaries from sixteen American homosexual newspapers. It was found that across the United States, the median age of death for a homosexual male not having AIDS was only 42 years, with a mere 9 percent living to old age. Of 106 lesbians survey, the median lifespan was only 45 years, with 26 percent living to old age. When compared to a large sample of obituaries from regular newspapers, these life spans were extremely brief.

The New York Times reported in a July 7, 2002 article that the vast majority of young gay and bisexual men in the U. S. who were found to have the AIDS virus in a new study were unaware of their infection. "Most of these infected men perceived themselves to be at low risk of being infected, despite having engaged in frequent high-risk sex like unprotected anal intercourse," said Duncan MacKellar with the federal Centers for Disease Control and

Prevention in Atlanta, which conducted the study.

The study involved 5,719 men who were interviewed at dance clubs, bars and other places frequented by gays in Baltimore, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City and Seattle. They found that 573 had HIV. The study shows that the very men who are at greatest risk of HIV infection are those who are least likely to think they are at risk. Federal officials estimate that 40,000 Americans become infected each year with gay men accounting for the largest proportion of new HIV infections.

Now you can see why gay strategists Kirk and Madsen insisted that "the imagery of sex should be downplayed and gay rights should be reduced to an abstract social question as much as possible. First let the camel get his nose inside the tent – only later his unsightly derriere."

But in spite of caustic denial, the impression of gay culture as promiscuous, unhealthy, and bizarre is supported by a huge body of well-researched medical and sociological data. It is not prejudice that condemns them; it is hard data which exposes them. The Gay Deathstyle

I don't think anything will ever "legitimize" this lifestyle. Maybe make it more "legal". But legitimize? No.

The current Supreme court has strayed FAR AWAY from what they are supposed to be. They have become a political entity. The only way to counter this is to keep Bush in office so he can put some constitionalists on the court. To counter this, since there is no Democrat that can beat him Hillary Clinton will run for office in 2004. I know it, you know it, Bush knows it and so does Karl Rove.

Hillary will run. And that's why the Democrats are attempting to destroy Rush, Arnold and anyone else that might get in her way.

These numbers of the sick attributed to that lifestyle on the heals of an article stating that the 20% of the poulation being gay was (is) wrong and misleading, sends an even uglier picture for those who choose to live this way.

In any other era what they have done would be considered UNCONSTITUTIONAL-they are now usurping the LEGISLATURE

which is why the issue is now constitutional. Adopting the Marriage Ammendment, locks the issue as going back to the states and eliminates the misinterpritation of marriage as anything other than one man and one woman.

Amazed at the number of sex partners these folks use for their practices and their almost total pre-occupation with sexual stimulation. It reminds me of the lab experiments on monkeys years ago where the monkeys had electrodes implanted in the pleasure centers of the brain. The monkeys opted for pushing the pleasure button repetitively to the exclusion of all other activities.

California that sodomite hot bed has a friend in Arnold

Arnold's relationship with Mapplethorp as one of his favorite (homo erotic) models
will be more sad news if the pics said to be locked up in the Mapplethorp collection
ever surface..

Hopefully Arnold is able to stop this as he was able to buy up the rights to Pumping Iron (the movie) to suppress his other thoughts on politics women sex and drugs...

"79 percent said that more than half of their partners were anonymous."

That would make sense if you're away from home amongst strangers and needed a 'quick fix'. Who needs the name of the supplier? 'Just gimme the drugs, man! I don't care if the 'needle' is contaminated.'

It seems you have taken the baton from Polycarp.

My impression is that many homosexuals become that way because they are so obsessed with sex and find heterosexual experiences too infrequently for whatever reason. The promiscuity and concomitant opportunity that homosexuality offers is too much to resist. They deliberately ignore the pathology that comes with this life style.

Good luck. Keep up the good work. Adios

Do you think the statistics are bogus? Do you think the gov't should be paying for the medical care of folks who invite their diseases and death with high risk behaviors?

I could care less if the homosexual agenda was harmless, but unfortunately it is neither victimless or harmless, leaving other folks to pick up the tab.

I wish it were otherwise, despite our experience with various DNA viruses, but the retrovirus(i.e. RNA virus) HIV has no precedent. Don't hold your breath expecting either an effective vaccine or a cure for HIV/AIDS. I'm owed a treat on betting against the a vaccine by 2000. I'm not a good gambler. I only like sure bets.
