Someone dumped another pregnant cat off at our farm last week during the night. I took it to the vets to have it fixed and abort the kittens which feel to be about four weeks gestation.

The vet refuses to perform such procedures on cats. It's cruel and against his ethical beleifs.

I told him that the mother's life was in danger if he did not spay her. He asked, "How's that?" I told him that there was a .22 pistol putting her life in danger and that was certainly a lot cheaper. I asked him how he felt about that ethically?

He spayed the cat and she has a nice home now.

Strange that in order to find an ethical reaction toward abortion you have to go see a veterinarian with a cat..................

well, when we went to the vet's to have my daughter's GERBIL put to sleep, I had to sign 2 forms. That was a state (wonder if FL, home of Terri Schiavo, does this?) requirement.
