Postscript, we have always had punchcard machines in O.C. that worked wonderfully. On the punch card system the recall likely would have had its very own page, making it impossible to miss. (I also wouldn't have been distracted to go to the bottom of the page and get voting for the Props out of the way, grin.) Did they not use the punchcard machines because of the flap about using punchcards in general, or was it seen as not "fair" not to have all the candidates on one sheet?

I just saw Aslee Banfield, or whatever her name is, interviewing Bustamente. She all but insisted that the absentee ballots be challenged because those folks voted before the LA Times dropped its stink bomb.
