David Gergen (gag) on CNN asserting that allegations of groping by Schwartzenegger put GOP in tough position, after GOP complaints re: Clinton (these bums don't get it. Clinton was a perjurer, it wasn't "about sex"). Anyway, the talking points are predictable and transparent.

The smear campaign backfired
CBS News on Tuesday night reported that 69 percent of a sample of voters interviewed after they cast their ballots said they had made up their minds weeks ago.

Some political observers saw this as an indication that recent charges that Schwarzenegger sexually harassed women did not have a major impact and that voters were more worried about the state of California's economy under incumbent Davis.

By late afternoon with the polls still open and Davis making calls at get-out-the-vote rallies, several of his aides appeared shell-shocked as if bracing for bad news.

Paula and Judy and Aaron must be weeping in their dressing rooms! Katie Couric will be prostrated with grief, LOL!
