We need to be there for this guy. He has paved the way for the free expression of conservative ideas. Please keep Rush in your hearts and prays.

He has paved the way for the free expression of conservative ideas.

I can remember being somewhat embarrassed to be seen with a bottle of Snapple--in the late '80s?--as I assumed that it would mark me as a listener. While Rush is right about us not truly having the free speech our Founding Fathers bestowed upon us, thanks to Rush conservative speech is a lot freer now than it was a couple of decades ago.

I'm shocked about the drug story. Rush seems like the last person who could succumb to the moral weakness and lack of will-power that lead to drug addiction. I pray that the allegations are hollow, but he sure is acting like a guilty person so far. He has a chance to come forward and be honest but is refusing to comment. Don't get me wrong, I still have respect for many of the messages but am losing respect for the messenger.

BUMP.

I was really just a young'un when Rush came on the air in 1988.
Being the son of diehard Democrats, [a teacher and a Teamster's Union steward, as well] I listened to Rush at first because my mom didn't like him.
I wanted to see what the fuss was all about.

I listened to him on and off for a few years, and he started to get through to me.
We all have our personal problems, and I hope he gets through these to hold high the banner of conservatives once more.
