You bet RUSH has my support....I sent him an email on day one. You and me, both!!
So I am not in the "Know" is it possible to email him without being a member of Rush 24/7? If so how?

Sorry, couldn't stop laughing at you long enough to point out all the things you've done to advance conservatism in America. There, I just pointed them all out...

Obviously you know all the facts behind Rush's current problem.
You said he has a problem, not me. So what is Rush's problem and who's your sources for saying so? To me he's just a clown so his problems are comedic to me.
I've made no claim to special knowledge and have none to make. It's been self-evident for many years that Rush Limbaugh would self-destruct and ultimately bring dishonor upon the conservative movement.
This eventual outcome is my entire reason for any lingering interest in the man or his cult of personality. It was entirely predictable that employing a clown in the political arena instead of a circus arena would come to no good. Now it has and frankly, the ditto posts here are mostly also entirely predictable.

WHAT A NAME
Your strange post was confusing to me, though I'm sure you meant to insult me somehow. Your wit is over my head I guess.
Making fun of people's names stopped being effective around the second grade. Making fun of somebody's handle is another level of infantilism altogether. Please try again.

Thank you
(Thats way too simple, I was looking for somthing much more difficult, more envolved.)

Dear Witness
Rush did indeed drive away the moderates. It was what we wanted.
Yes, indeed, we do have a net gain. Count them. There are three branches of government. We own two.
To: Conservababe
So the (razor-thin) Senate majority and Bush's victory in Florida (where I marched btw) are thanks to dittoheads driving away moderates?
Delusions can be, but are not always, dangerous.

Rush didn't create conservatism, he capitalized on it, early and well. Only in that regard will I concede his genius. Rush learned conservatism at his dinner table, along with his brother, David, from his father.
Rush was a DJ at fifteen years old here in Cape Girardeau and went on to other jobs. He was fired many times, seven I think.
But, when he finally convinced someone to give him his own radio program without a regular run of the mill format, he chose a conservative format without guests. His Dad lived long enough to hear him just a couple of times. He asked "where did he get all this from?" and his Mom said "from you". And when his Dad asked "why is he so acting so silly?" his Mom said "he got it from me, dear".
Rush Limbaugh's conservative roots go back to his childhood, deah.
To: witnesstothefall
I've listened to many many hours of Rush, fyi."
Ah, excuse me; but the folowing are your words; not mine. . .
"I've never been able to take more than 5 minutes of his empty pomposity."
As for " He's simply not a serious person, though he's in a serious business - politics". . .
the fact is; you only have to listen to his monologue to know that Rush is more than serious about his politics; he is passionate about his politics; and were it not first for his passionate commitment to 'Truth', I doubt that he could survive the longevity of his own show.
Handling the garbage of Liberalism day after day is painful of, and in, itself.Trying to present the truth of this garbage in a way that is worthy; entertaining, enlightening and motivating; requires far more than a simple humility; it requires 'passion' and some 'bravado' as well.
So if you cannot hear the 'humility' of Rush; and you hate his bit of 'showtime bravado'; and you do not value his diligence at sorting the 'truth from lies'; why not just listen to Public Radio?

I haven't said Rush in not a conservative. He is. I've read a lot of his bio background too btw.
I have said he is a clown. The implications of a clown being in his position have not been dealt with on this thread. The consequences of a clown being in his position are self-evident. And entirely predictable.
Honestly, Rush would have been better off just being himself. It's certainly debatable whether he'd have been as successful, of course.
And my entire argument tonight btw, is premised giving Rush the benefit of the doubt on any charges against him. The nature of his media persona, distinct from Rush Limbaugh the private human being, spelled trouble from the beginning. 'Least I felt that way since around '92 or so when I first became familiar with him.
I use the word 'clown' b/c it's more than apt. A clown is sure to eventually make a fool of himself, and even more sure to make a fool of those taking him too seriously.
To: witnesstothefall
Rush is himself. You are the clown. You have made a fool of yourself.
