Not a condo-cat though. If I get a multihull, it's going to look like a racer on the outside. At least 12-1 length-beam ratio, and the bare minimum bridge deck. So even though it would be long, it would be very lean in the hulls, and hence not so elaborate or expensive to build. Probably not much more room inside than my present steel boat, but 2-3 times faster.

1993: Yellow Pages, custom multihull, sets Outright Sailing Speed Record at 46.52 knots. I realize not exactly what you had in mind but even the racing circumnavigating multis can average around 20 knots on a well run leg. THAT IS MOVING!...over 500 staute miles a day...whew. Mo-Bay to St Pete in 48 hours...lol
