New anti-Arnold commercial

Posted on 10/06/2003 9:49:02 AM PDT by Hildy

Just saw the new anti-Arnold commercial. It goes something like this: Close-ups of women against a white backdrop.
Voice over: If you have a wife, a mother, a sister, if you know a woman from work then...
YOU CAN'T VOTE FOR ARNOLD SCHWARTZENEGGER.
Blah blah blah...and then they have a quote from an interview in some entertainment magazine about sticking a woman's head down a toilet. But with no explanation that it was from a movie. It's outrageous and despicable. How low will these people go.

This doesn't end on Oct 7th if McClintock doesn't win, the "I Told You So's" just begin, and no "Conservative" will be safe

Between this and that vile graphic, you are slipping further and further over the edge. Stop, take a deep breath and THINK about what you are doing. I'm getting honestly worried about your health.

There was a great quote in the Washington Post today

Quoting a liberal paper to support your "conservative" cause.... interesting.

What does how many people across the USA knowing who the controller is have to do with Californians electing prolife leaders?

From 1982-1990 we had a prolife Republican governor. In 1994 we had a prolife DEMOCRAT President the Senate. As late as 1996 we had a prolife Republican Speaker of the Assembly. As recently as 1998 we had a prolife Attorney General, a sort-of prolife state Treasurer, and a prolife Secretary of State.

The point is that your assertions that its been since 1967 that California had any prolife leaders are just plain ignorant.

We've been screwed in the last two election cycles amounting to the past five years. That is hardly enough time to make California a PERMANENT liberal state. It just seems that way because the average attention span of armchair political commentators is about 5-8 years before they get bored and find something else to do.

No you're not. Let's be honest here...you're worried, but not about that.

I think you are worried that Tombots will be there when Your Candidate fails and proves them 110% correct. You are hoping to throw me off the scent. Sorry. The brilliant Triangulation theory didn't involve securing the base.

Better live it up today Tamsey, this is the highpoint of his Administration. Its all downhill from here.

Throw you off the scent? Good heavens, you are DEFINITELY losing it.

I am concerned... I don't know why, I generally don't like mean people. I think you're mean, however, because something is wrong. I don't imagine for a second that you would take a stranger's word for it, as well you shouldn't. But please ask family and friends if they are worried about you, okay? They would be a good judge, care about you and may be concerned and afraid to say something.

Lately, around here, the tag becomes necessary. :-)

I am responding in an intelligent way. A sizable number of people in most places will vote for either pro-life or pro-choice candidates based on a lot of other factors. Pennsylvania has pro-life Democrat and pro-choice Republican governors and is represented by two Republican Senators who are on polar opposite ends of the Republican spectrum when it comes to abortion and a lot of other issues. They now have a Democrat governor and went for Gore in 2000. Unless you are telling me that you have polls or some other hard data that shows more than 50% of California voters will never vote for a pro-life candidate regardless of what they think about other issues and regardless of who their opponent is, I'm sorry but I simply think it is premature to say "never". I do think that Schwarzenegger is the way to vote today and I have friends who recently moved there from New Jersey who should be voting for him. I have made no attempt to discourage them. But I do think that if Arnold dropped out that McClintock would have a chance and I believe he has the polling data that shows it.

McClintock ran an honorable campaign. He's a good guy. I have a lot of confidence in his ability to be a strong asset in the fight against the dims to change things in CA.
