Agreed. The real quagmire in the War on Terror is having to squabble with the Democrats and the media over "leaks," "yellowcake," so-forth and so-on. We need to refocus our attention on the bigger picture of terrorism internationally, and within the region. I hope that the Israeli attack on Syria will force the US to again look at the bigger picture.

is not part of the US War on Terror except insofar as the
radical Arab terrorists extend beyond that region. (For example, Bush has cut off US-based Hamas funding,)
The key phrase that Bush used
was "global reach."
The causes of the Arab-Israeli
conflict go back to the 1948 UN
Partition and must be solved with
reference to that starting point
within the region.
That the Arabs have resorted to
terrorism after having suffering
numerous conventional military
defeats does not, by itself, require that the US treat the
Palestinians like the Taliban.
