Don't hold your breath. It's just their same old attack to cover up for the fact that they can't debate on the merits.

And the fact of the matter is his article was more of an indictment against the Republican Party than Arnold.

All Keyes does is gripe. As much as he trashes his fellow Republicans, I'm surprised his holiness deigns to call himself a Republican.

Bellyaching is Keyes' schtick. If he once gave a speech without tearing somebody else down, I'd think somebody else had taken over his body.

"I posted that because you once labeled the Nazi connection between the Kennedys and Arnold as "THAT'S entertainment"

Are you so obtuse you can't see the difference in an Academy Award thread and one about the election of the governor of California?

Or are you just baiting me? I pick Door Number 2.

With friends, I will be as honest as possible about my own human shortcomings. With you? Never. I learned that lesson quite some time ago.

Guess what, EV.......Your shortcomings wave like a giant banner in the sky, whether you talk about them or not.

Your responses are becoming more detached from the topic at hand by the minute. No surprise there.

May the Lord forgive those who will vote for Arnold Schwarzenegger tomorrow.

This time, he sends us to helptom.com to cough up $$$, and invites me to read the WND piece he wrote. How unusual for him - usually, he asks for money for himself.

If every one of the candidates in the recall election had a legitimate chance of winning, I would probably support Gary Coleman or that porn star Carey whatever-her-name-is. There is something to be said for putting politicians in their place by replacing them with bizarre, wacky candidates with no background in politics. Nothing gets this nation's political ruling class more bent out of shape than a clear message that they have no respect among the American public.

Telling the truth you don't want to hear = 'bellyaching' (in the world of sinkspur).

I left the thread because of the attacks on Dr. Keyes.

Why, does it bother you that we've come to recognize him as a grifter and a crank of the first order?

What about Clinton's molesting of Willey? How's that different from Arnold's alleged molesting of women by grabbing their breasts? Are you saying that women on movie sets, or anywhere else in the world except in a public official's office, are fair game for molestation? Wow, you ARE defining deviancy down. Alan Keyes is right in observing the corrupting influence that this Arnold candidacy is having on conservatives.

As much as he trashes his fellow Republicans

Silly you.

He's not a Republican. He's a real, true conservative.

There's a lot to gripe about these days. At least he bothers to care enough to point that out.

There are a heck of a lot of Republicans who seem to have no line that cannot be crossed when it comes to voting for a liberal Republican, even after the Jim Jeffords debacle, from which they should have learned something.

"And, obediently, his army follows, tearing down instead of building up, dividing instead of joining forces, evidently delighting in being purer-than-thou rather than in actually moving the ball forward and doing something to roll back the culture of death."

So very true !!! I have seen the routine repeat itself all too often.

How many of "these people" do you suppose are Democrats and their real agenda is to divide Republican voters and try to keep Republicans out of as many offices as possible?

Your responses are becoming more detached from the topic at hand by the minute. No surprise there.

Of course they are, since your only possible way of distracting from the hard truths in the article are to draw the conversation as far from the subject at hand as is humanly possible.

If he said it, and it's in his own words, then there wouldn't be a debate over it, would there?

Yes, there would. Because there are people here who will twist and bend and spin to suggest that Alan Keyes actually likes and approves of President Bush, despite strong evidence to the contrary. Why? I have NO idea. I couldn't begin to imagine why they would find it necessary to advance that idea.

Honestly, Sir G - the man called the POTUS "the bullet that kills you". The article ("I AM NOT A BUSH REPUBLICAN") was on WorldNetDaily if you want to see it. Is it that much of a leap to take his other words to mean he thinks President Bush is evil? Can we not fairly draw that conclusion, when he talks about an individual sitting down and asking himself how much "evil" he can "get away with" in relationship to President Bush's stem cell research decision?

Howlin posted what Keyes said on this thread; I guess you can decide for yourself what he means. (Not sure what post number.)
