No, a republican can not be ProAbortion, but a RINO can.
A republican does not advocate the killing everyday of 3000 innocent babies. That is what Democrats do. That is the litmus test the Dems use. If someone is for the ProAbortion Holocaust then join the democrats.

Unless you live in a GOP enclave like Drier, the state is swamped with liberals who send other liberals to D.C. to represent them. The main planks opf the GOP platform do not wash out there.

Arnold has liberal views on issues that we completely disagree with him on. But he is not a liberal in the textbook sense - just in a GOP sense.

You need to look past your ldealism and check out the big picture.

Again, I am not a big fan of Arnold's and I think McClintock is a right-winger's right-winger.

Where does it say that Republicans need not apply?

It doesn't. But all the Arnold supporters have been doing for the last 30 days has been admonishing conservatives who are unwilling to settle.

Arnold lived his life like a celebrity taking advantage of and making advances on women, most of whom were willing. I cannot deny the obvious, as he cannot deny it himself. He led an immoral life, despite his obvious Catholic background. Whether or not this behavior continues to this day is debatable. However we know Bill Clinton used his position as a government official to take advantage of women. In other words, Clinton used us. We are knitpicking the degree to which both sin, but both behaviors are wrong, and I would have to question whether either is suitable to lead.

I would never vote for either of them. They both openly support abortion, both thrive on their celebrity status -- I will vote for the candidate that best supports my positions. I do not live in CA, but it looks like McClintock would get my vote if I did. Good luck to CA, they will have to live with it.

Keyes could axe murder somebody and his Keysters would stand up and applaud, muttering all the while "how profound, it's a shame the rest of the world doesn't understand just how profound Dr. Keyes really is"!

Leave it to you to ignore the substance of the article and instead launch scurrilous attacks on the conservative.

Oh, don't get your knickers in a twist. There is plenty of name calling going on between the two camps to last a life time. The Tom fans have flung just as much mud with just as much zeal as the Arnold fans.

So, come down off your soapbox...

I'm sure CPAC wasn't overwhelmed by the "Keyesters." They were simple conservatives who work hard for what they believe. They are what makes the political clock turn.

What about space aliens?

What about letting them eat cake?

What about wearing only purple on Tuesday?

What about belief that Elvis is still alive?

I can make lists too.

These are what RINO Arnold supporters use as arguments.

And you disagree with a plank in the platform and still be a Republican.

Disagreeing with a single plank is easy to overlook. Arnold just disagrees with more than I can overlook.

Well, aren't you a little wordsmith. You get a bright yellow star. This is a conservative web site. Now, tell me what that has to do with my post.

Keyes lays it on the line

The only thing his detractors do is call names just like the liberals do when they can't rebut facts

The facts just don't square with your pessimism.

Tom was outspent what, 5 to 1?--and barely lost last year.

The polling shows him beating Bustamante handily in a head to head.

Conservative ideas will sell, but leadership has to have the courage of their supposed convictions before anybody else is going to buy in.

He (Reagan) governed California much as Schwarzenegger would have, and he served as President much as McClintock would have.

That is a great point.

One black mark on an otherwise great record: Reagan as governor signed what was at the time the most liberal abotion law in the US, though as I recall it was nowhere near abort-on-demand. He later said it was the biggest mistake of his political life. He's right.
