Since this came from the SF Chronicle, and I've had time to think about it, I realize that this is more likely an attempt to place a permanent wedge in the Republican party in the hopes that it will linger after the election.
I doubt there will be any anger in the McClintock camp. They all rest easy at night knowing they are doing the right thing. I don't even think Mac supporters will be disappointed when Schwatzthegroper wins. True conservatives, who believe in personal repsonsibility, recognize that happpiness is nurtured from within, not given to them by a governor or president or whatever.
Mac the Knife supporters will go on with their lives and continue to produce wealth and opportunity for the poor miserable lemmings who vote based on celebrity or feelings rather than principle.
