Frankly, I think we need to arm the Kurds bigtime. They are more reliable allies, they've bled with our troops, and they are less likely to stab us in the back. But it does not mean that they cannot be stabbed in the back again.

This US administration had the shaft greased and ready and therefore left the Turks no choice but to be uncooperative. And yet here you are most willing to be cooperative - for $8.5 billion. Oh bully for us!

Quite incoherent of you. Oh, it was quite coherent. Your weak reply assured me that my message was clear.
And to answer your question - yes, although my caffeine comes in a 12-oz. can.

There are signed agreements with the US as well as our own national security interests on the table. Your team is desperate now and has finally given in to our requirements.
The loan is not even needed and has not been slated for any use.
Also consider the billions you piss away each year IN GRANTS to countries like Egypt. Now THAT'S money well spent for sure.
Too bad that there are just enough bombastic individuals making the scene to reinforce the mostly undeserved pompous American image prevelant around the world. Mostly undeserved but none-the-less prevelant and kept alive by an unhealthy sprinkling by persons such as yourself.

Translation: 30 billion of American taxpayers' dollars CAN buy an "ally".

>> Oh, it was quite coherent.
So explain your nonsentical attempt at material implication which makes no sense to me as an answer to my lines. You wrote: "Then you shouldn't be offended when I tell your back-stabbing country to shove it." What did you feel was so obvious an antecendent that it could be left totally out of your feeble attempt at deductive reasoning?

Actually, I'm fairly insecure. But your bombastic description certainly fits the mark, especially if I'm discussing the backstabbing actions of a supposed ally. I have worked with Turks and enjoyed their company and comraderie. But their two-faced country can kiss my [insert favorite body part here].

Wow! Lotsa big words!! You know what I meant, I know what I meant, and your busy little fingers frantically typing multisyllabic distortions/distractions (See? I can play this game, too!) won't change any of that.

our white house has a terrible time with communication...they just cant seem to get stuff out I hear people say this all the time, but often with no merit.
Case in point. The Dem/media portrayal of last week's Kay report as "proving no WMD." People have been complaining the Administration has done nothing to counter that message. Yet the President held a press conference on Friday, his weekly radio address covered the report, and this weekend the SecState had an article in (I believe) the NY Times. They usually get their message out. The press often chooses to ignore/distort it.

Back around 1963/1964 I was stationed in Korea and there was a detachment of Turks still there from the war. The Koreans avoided them like the plague and the Turks were never stolen from or cheated by the dishonest Koreans.
The reason? The Turks were just plain mean. If anybody messed with them it was payback time.
One story that ran around (Truth unverified) was that they caught a Korean sneak thief on their compound and promptly hung him. They then hung the body on the main gate as a warning. The UN Command ordered them to cut the body down and they did. They shoved a rifle cleaning rod thru the ears, cut the head off and left it hanging. Never heard what happened to the body.

Ok, I'll take it all back. I am now convinced that the info which shapes your opinions spans at best the most recent couple of swings of this pendulum.
In case it's any help here, this what you have witnessed earlier this year was a reaction to an earlier string of US actions. The US stance as a trustworthy ally has been in question. You just don't know the history, therefore your disdain is acceptable, with reservation however..
