In reading more, this is incredible. I watched the videos on the linked website; Terri's not a veg, and this after at least a decade of receiving no therapy. She smiles, her eyes light up and can move her head to watch objects, she recognizes her mother; she's no vegetable.
She would feel and know every day of the deliberate starvation for 10-14 days.
I don't know how the family, doctors, nurses, and friends could bear it. How could they eat or drink during that time, knowing Terri was slowly being starved to death - and they can't bear it so that's why they're fighting to save her life! It won't bother the judge or the husband, they have their own agendas, but they should be required to watch Terri's videos every day while they are killing her, if they get their way.
Being brain-dead, no chance at all, is one thing, but that's not Terri's case. Even with therapy, it's not known how far she can be rehabed, but she's still there. And we should all think how we would like to be in Terri's position with a suspected husband who wants to pull the feeding tube knowing she's alert enough to feel the 10-14 days of starvation pains.
We put our own terminally ill pets down painlessly with shots, and yet the court would allow such a cruel and deliberate death for a HUMAN who is cognizant and not even terminally ill? What's the agenda here?
It's been a long time, but she's still holding in there.
I sent a e-mail to the governor and also asked how he would feel if it were his daughter.

He wants her dead, no therapy, and her medical records from the early morning she was brought in to the hospital show bone fractures. Just look around on Terri.
