I agree with your sentiments.

Please, tell me more about the Constitution Party.

Who is Judge Moore, is he the judge in the 10 Suggestions Case?

So, congratulations, the Rs now have the moral equivalent of Clinton on the cusp of being "elected" to the governorship of the 5th largest economic power in the world.

This is why representative democracy is being usurped by corporate representitivism. Politics is such BS.

I guess I've been around here for about 6 years or so now. Time sure flies!

When Jim Robinson started this site, it was because he was fed up with the liberal media, and how they would not let people worldwide know about the corruption of the Clinton Administration. A few of us, equally concerned, (with great luck) found it fast.

In the early days, FR was a day-to-day operation, always on the brink of bankruptcy. Jim kept on, and we chipped in when it became too much. We knew how important this site was, and is. Sometimes, it came down to the wire, and we wrote checks, and sent them in, as best we could.

Look at it now. We all get our best information from this site. It is huge, with thousands of posters, and millions of readers. Yet Jim still keeps it alive because of his conviction, and he is absolutely NOT making a profit on it. He just believes. As do we.

BTW, did you know that the founder of this site is in a wheelchair (sorry Jim; I know you think it doesn't make a r*ts a$$ difference. Hey, some folks out there need to come down a peg, like I have.).

Think of it! In the darkest days of the Clinton Administration, there was a lone internet site where people with integrity, brains, and sheer gumption could discuss the dangers faced by the US. Not on CNN, for sure.

Earthmovers like Drudge, Ann Coulter, Rush, WFBuckley, his brother, Savage, Buchanan, both houses of Congress (many) check in to see what we think.

The opposition checks it out, too. Like the NY times staff, CNN, AFL-CIO, China, etc. Trust me, they all come here to read. Even YOUR post. You know by now how they are whining about Rush? We're next, as soon as they figure out how they can trash this site without it getting a million hits.

I've been broke; I've been not broke. I've slept in my car. I know how it feels to be squeezed tight with bills. Folks with giant bills: You're not alone, and you have friends here. :)

If you love this site as much as I do, please, please sign up for automatic payment of just $3 per month. Don't be embarrassed if you think this is too little. It absolutely is not. You $3 a month folks are our grassroots movement heroes. Be proud. Become one of the thousand points of light here, and you will so feel proud every month. We'll thank you for it, and are so glad to have you on board.

I know things are rough out there. But you are tough, and a member of the greatest grassroots freedom movement in 100 years. Together we are making history, and will change the world, as we already have. The best is yet to come.

Most countries out there would consider this website illegal. They hate us, for our freedom. Their systems cannot stand, in the face of Freedom. The people there read us when they can, when they are “allowed” to, and are not being tortured. They flock to us, America, because they want to be free. Help us help them.

Would you please, please consider signing up for just $3 a month? Please? That’s all it takes, really, believe it or not. You will make a world of difference, to, well, the world. Be proud, Americans, and please help out!

On virtually every issue worth noting, Schwarzenegger comes down on the left side of the page.

It's obvious that Chuck Baldwin and the Constitution Party don't consider being a Fiscal Conservative a critical issue. Let the single issue zealots go form their own party, we don't need them.

When they are gone the GOP will gain more than enough moderate voters from the Democrats to replace the Religous Zealots .

The Republican party is not conservative in the sense you are used to using. That is the way it is.

Unfortunately, within the existing one man one vote system, there is no way a limited government, based on the Contitution of 1789 as the Founders understood it, is possible. As Alexander Hamilton pointed out, the Constitution is flawed because the people will not defend it. Hamilton has been proved correct in this again and again. What exists is what exists; there is no use crying over spilled milk.

As I recall, the party of Lincoln through the years had as its main principles those of small government, free enterprise, limited taxation, and personal responsibility.

These other "conservative issues" are johnny come lately issues, though I strongly agree with them. We don't own the party. We are part of the many and have to work with them. Working outside as a third party seems to be a waste of time, especially since many of us also subscribe to the original party principles.

I used to call myself a libertarian with a lower-case "l." However, I now call myself a Constitutionalist with a upper-case "C!" I just read the platform last week and I agreed with way more than I ever did with the libertarian platform, or with the way Republicans act once in office. I will cast my vote on principle from now on, not on blind assumption that Republicans are the only ones who can win.

On virtually every issue worth noting, ... You forgot of course to mention the ONE MAIN issue for the recall:

Taxation and spending and Cali's budget mess

On that you are silent. If you dont even acknowledge the full set of facts going on, you can sure make people seem worse than they are ... and that holds true for MANY principled conservatives who decided to support Arnold for the simple main reason that Cali needs to get its fiscal house in order. Argue the *real* issues. Debating strawmen is poor form.

BTW, the Republican Party is *us*.

The Republican Party no more desires conservatives in political office than the Democratic Party does, and people who think otherwise are only deceiving themselves.

That’s true. The whole spectacle of so-called "conservatives" like Hannity and Rush praising a hard-left candidate like Schwarzenkennedy over a true conservative like Tom McClintock was a real eye-opener to me.

That and the fact that lots of rank-and-file repub's on this board also pick a far-left, serial-groping, gang-banging, pot smoking ex-roid freak because he has an R beside his name.

In spite of his personal and philosophical discrepancies, Schwarzenegger has received accolades from notable conservatives such as Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, and Pat Robertson, not to mention practically the entire national Republican hierarchy.

Not all. I was surprised to hear Bill Kristol say his morning on Fox News Sunday that were he a Californian, he could not vote for Arnold.

the candidacy of bodybuilder/actor Arnold Schwarzenegger to be California's next governor should be enough to set the record straight.

Chuck, there are hundreds of Republican parties out there. There's the RNC, 50 state parties, county and city parties, district parties, etc. Even in California, there's the CRA and the CRP which backed different candidates. Both are Republican.

On virtually every issue worth noting, Schwarzenegger comes down on the left side of the page.

Which is why I'm backing Tom McClintock, another REPUBLICAN.

not to mention practically the entire national Republican hierarchy.

Change the hierarchy then. Quit bitching and do something.

By supporting a liberal such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Republicans demonstrate that they have no real loyalty to conservative principles.

I'm backing McClintock. I'm a Republican.

Beyond that, by supporting Schwarzenegger, they have turned their backs on a true conservative gubernatorial candidate, Tom McClintock.

Many have. Others haven't.

In race after race, Republican heavyweights will throw their support behind a liberal candidate and will starve out a conservative candidate.

There's one key word there. Heavyweights. The rank and file haven't backed the liberals for the most part. What must be done is to make sure that the rank and file and the conservative heavyweights have the power, and the LIBERAL wing does not push the conservative out.

This is not an accident or a coincidence. It is the party's plan A.

Is is the ESTABLISHMENT's plan A.

The Republican Party no more desires conservatives in political office than the Democratic Party does, and people who think otherwise are only deceiving themselves.

My county chair is conservative, as were our past two chairs. The county exec committee is conservative. Our state party chair is conservative. Conservatives are THERE.

At some point, conservatives must awaken to the reality that they do not have a political party in Washington, D.C., that represents them.

Then we should toss the DC bums out and replace them if we aren't represented there. Are you a precinct delegate?

They must, at some point, be willing to abandon the Republican Party and unite around a party and a candidate that will courageously and consistently promote their principles.

How will that advance conservatism?

Can I get a second for Judge Roy Moore and the Constitution Party?

How many races has the Constitution(or US Taxpayer's party) won?

"The Republican Party's Lack of Commitment to Conservatism" is why I cringe at sending them money. They are better than the Libs, not sure how much.

I have had two emails in my little sphere of influence from conservative Republicans who are so disgusted with the CA Republican Party, as soon as they vote YES on the recall and FOR Tom McClintock, they are changing from GOP to Independent - the very next day.

Arnold has been a real eye opener. Just as the American people have become more conservative, the Republicans become more liberal. It just shows that only a supernatural Holy Ghost revival among the "common folk", can bring the conservative revolution the people are crying for. In fact, it will be a thousand years of conservative government, and all without death and taxes! Thank you Jesus!
