The problem with Arnold is that if further news
comes out about his past pertaining to violent
assaults on women, it would do more damage to the
'cause' than if Gray Davis stayed a few more years.
All Republicans would end up getting tainted by one
person's crimes since Arnold, as governor of a prominent
state, would be one of the party's most visible spokespersons.
In the end I do not know for certain what will be best(or
least worst) for California. But I do think that the
downside is far greater than the potential upside of having
Arnold in office.

Oh, please...
I'm not defending his unwelcomed touching of women be it on the a$$ or breast or even his pulling one down onto his lap. But "violent assaults on women" it was not.
These reports were intended to influence the vote; those who can think for themselves won't let it.
