My position is that
1. Antilife candidates disqualify themselves. This is not single issue voting in the sense that there are things that all of us would feel disqualify a person from holding political office. Noone really has addressed this from the other side. And I don't mean that one should say Arnold this or Tom that. Speak on the level of principles. If we make our decisions on positive principles first, the practical choices are easier.
2. Scriptures support the prolife position particularly on abortion and even in how we should vote. (See my tag line) now some may say that I am taking this verse out of context, but I argue not at all. Clearly God could anticipate that there would be representative republican democracy. His word speaks to us.
3. Neither specific scriptures nor the Bible in general support the idea, that we can make moral decisions apart from God. What kind of ice cream you like fine. But to think that God wants us to make moral decisions free from his direction as BibChr implies in his essay is wrong, in my opinion.
Disclaimer: In charity I put my thoughts forward for your consideration.

Dan, I if I have misstated your position here, I ask that you correct me.

How could God not anticipate something unless there were forces beyond his control?
