You must have been watching our local team's (Falcons)
defense doing these stupid celebration acts after a good
play, despite their lowly 1-4 record.
To: Andy from Beaverton
Well, no. I didn't watch it before Rush, and I doubly don't watch it now.

"What are they saying?"
It's a wonder they can say anything at all with their lips squashed up in those politically correct chastiety belts.

If I remember correctly, this is the same Roy Johnson who
once worked for the Atlanta Urinal-Constipation (as Rush
would say) and he was then, and still is stuck on the
old blather of racial politics.
To: discostu
I believe they were gutless by trashing rush instead of giving him the benefit of the doubt. They were gutless because they were too timid to go against the politically correct dumber than dirt sportswriters, and undereducated bitching fans because they would lose their cushy mousketeer jobs. Just listen to any sportstalk show and hear the nasty rants and gut kicking comments made about any sports star that is not perfect.Exceptions being Bruce Smith,Deon Sanders,Marino, etc, who regularly got away with all kinds of violations. They treat most of the players like crap, and the rest like they are "gods". McNabb looks like crap today AGAIN........

Thanks for your post. Now, I will NEVER EVER watch Fox
NFL Sunday, thanks to their comments today. Let people
like Terry Bradshaw squawk around and act like an
idiot-just NOT on my time.

.......just what happens when people like Michael Eisner
turn what was once a gold-plated network into a network
full of mush.

Devisive commentary- Rush? The great one brings together about forty million Americans daily. Who else can gather that many people together voluntarily on a regular basis?
Which Jackson clan does Tom descend from? That of Jesse Jackson or of Michael Jackson?

Do you per chance also agree that many controversies are invented by one's enemies as a form of character assination?
To: F.J. Mitchell
I haven't bothered reading the hundreds of responses to these messages but would like to add the following:
Today at church I was sitting down and mentioned how sad I was that I wasn't going to be able to watch ESPN anymore. Instantly, about 4 guys sitting all around where I was sitting (who I didn't know) chimed in saying they were all feeling that pain this morning. That doesn't bode well for ESPN.
Secondly, we have massive political movements arguing how important affirmative action is. All affirmative action is someone wanting to make sure some specified group succeeds to redress perceived problems. The media/NFL is to Donovan McNabb as the University of Michigan law school administration is to black law students. At least the academics have the integrity (on this issue) to admit their bias. That way, they can explain it - in plausible and reasonable, even if wrong - terms.
The media and NFL, on the other hand, don't have the guts or the integrity to acknowledge their bias. If they were to acknowledge it, I think alot of people would be fine with that. Instead, they lie and act like they haven't run a thousand pieces about the rise of black quarterbacks (after years and years of running stories about why they're weren't more black quarterbacks).
If the NFL can run ME away, they may have just set themselves up for going the way of the NBA. Down.

Wonderful! Thanks for e-mailing ESPN. It's about the only way I know we can get across to them that there are
thousands of us out here in "TV land" who support Rush and NOT ESPN.
For anyone who missed the email address:

Rush is one of the few people on this earth that has courage and strength.
He has not misunderstood the scriptures of forging ahead when one is right and even if one has stumbled on his path, he just gets up and keep on keeping on!
None of us here are perfect and the Lord has mercy for those who continue to walk the walk!
Oh my the skeletons in my closet are unpleasant reminders of-
1- miscalculation, (just for a short while)
2- reap what you sow,(cause and effect)
3- burn the candle at both ends (trying to juggle too much)
I truely feel Rush is an inspiration.
If we are sincere in our hearts to do the right thing and should we fall or stumble, We are to get up and continue and keep our eye on the prise!
Don't let the opposition weight you down with Viper talk, faultfinding and gossip.
These people have no relationship with the Lord or they would have charity and pray for a good man to succeed.
To: Tuxedo
I think walking man is uncharitable! I know that on one level that Rush is hurting for letting his audience down!
It is easy to kick someone when they show their clay feet!
As of now we are in a probationary mortal state here on earth, and we are ALL a work in progress!
