When the law is clearly wrong, the legislature needs to revisit that law. That's why it's important for people to find out what District they live in and call their LOCAL LEGISLATOR.

Charlie Crist cannot change the law as AG.

Your District can be found easily if you do a google search under Florida Election Precincts. PLEASE CALL YOUR LOCAL FLA LEGISLATOR!!!!

NO, Crist cannot change the law. He can, however, show how the rights of the victim were no followed according to the law. Instead, he seems just fine with the selection of Michael Schiavo as the guardian and the withdrawal of therapy from the victim. He won't even take that modest step. I am appalled at his current stance though I don't understand all the legal implications.

I hope you're right, freep.

Perhaps the legislature can act at this late date, but I always considered this an emergency situation - requiring leadership from the top.

While we were fighting hard for Terri and her case was getting publicity, AG Crist didn't even release a public statement.

He did write a public memo questioning the increase in gas prices at that time, blaming it essentially on Pres. Bush (during wartime), getting plenty of favorable press attention for that.

Since this is not a popular cause, and the press is against Terri, I don't expect AG Crist to stand up for her.

I do understand the politics, the power of the "enemy press" and the apathy of the people. Just disappointed.
