The poetry is a disaster. One word: meter. The guy should learn what that is before trying to rhyme.

However -- I think those Freepers that are bagging on his attitude, need to check out what he is really saying in the poem. If it has a message, it's that Canada's feckless pursuit of UN-sponsored fun and games is out of balance with Canada's disassembly of the once-significant Canadian military. It is calling, as far as I can tell, for a stronger military but less engagement abroad. I wouldn't call that cowardly.

I don't happen to agree with the fellow, I think isolationism is futile for lands great (USA) and small (Canada). But I think he deserves more consideration than the rubbishing y'all are giving him.
