His death penalty was overturned on appeal to a federal judge. There was some problem with the instructions to the jury. However, his conviction was upheld, and he's serving a life sentence. I guess the idiot mayor of Paris doesn't keep up with the news.

Is the state appealing or rehearing the sentencing phase. Or is it over?

I didn't know that. When did that happen? Damned shame that this POS won't be killed by the State of PA. Would have been a great occasion for a rub-their-noses-in-it party.
