Do you know her well enough to be able to say that she doesn't (secretly or otherwise) harbor some glee about 9/11? Does she ever talk about Israel and Jews?

My understanding is that many of them here in NYC come across as fine, but when among their own -- and speaking in arabic -- they praise bin laden and his ilk.

She actually has no arabic friends. She is a student just like me and here in Hamburg, she usually goes out with us. We do not often talk about politics, but she has expressed her hate for terrorists, because that would make life more difficult for her. But my point is, that there are many Muslims who are willing to integrate into our western society, and that the religion is not necessarily the evil factor. It´s the abuse of religion by the religious leaders. The Coran itself does not order any believer to fight for Islam or spreading it.
