Absolutely NOT. It is time to start chopping heads of those who put themselves ahead of the people and the common good. He can't "win". he has known that. He has "declared" himself, and I say let him sleep in the bed he makes for himself. I agree there is no sense in rescuing Arnold with the most brilliant mind in California today. He made his own bed, let him sleep in it. He's the one who chose to surround himself with big liberal tax and spend advisors. Let him solve the budget on his own. He deserves everything he gets.
I'm with you on this.

Changing the subject now, and throwing in a red herring to boot. The subject has always been McWampum's taking of Indian money.
I'm referring to previous statewide runs.
Oh yes, previous statewide runs. During his 2002 run for Comptroller, McClintock took a lot of money from Howard Ahmanson, a former board officer with the Chalcedon Foundation. The Chalcedon Foundation as well as Ahmanson and R.J. Rushdoony are one of those "'Christian Identity' KooKlans who believe in things like rounding up gay people into concentration camps and shooting them, the abolition of democracy, the installation of a theocratic republic under "Biblical Law," and capital punishment for such horrific offenses as 'blasphemy', 'heresy', and 'apostasy'.
Argue with facts, or admit you're full of it.
I just did. Reply with facts or we'll know YOU'RE full of it.

There is NO room for conservatives in the Republican party ... Not the looneytune ones (the ones who give Mussolini a bad name).

The poster you speak of has been disgusting in his alleged advocacy... and has done more damage to the GOP than the Left ever shall. Not on his own, but as an indicator of a certain portion of the Pubbie party that really is all the Left slanders all of us to be. How illuminating, yet disillusioning at the same time.
I will precinct walk for Tom today. I have a half-hour show on Monday night airing that discusses the value of his candidacy and ideas. I can't vote but I can do what I can to get others to do so, and have convinced several of my Lefty acquaintances to pull for him even if they vote no on the recall itself.
For two years I was an (R), but since this horror I have realized I do NOT want to be associated with many of these people. I'm back to (I) -- as in I support the Individual. Period.

White flag vanity: Will/should McClintock be offered a BIG post in Arnold's administration? JMO, NO. McClintock has followed the Hillary style of politics, of burning every bridge, and when she sees that she has lost, comes begging back for forgiveness.
Sorry CB, stew in your bitter juices for a while.

Not the looneytune ones (the ones who give Mussolini a bad name). The problem is that you and your friends, by your support of Schwarzenegger, and by your attacks on conservatives here on FR, have managed to include just about everyone to the right of Ted Kennedy in that particular smear.

The only CINOs (conservative in name only) being attacked by the pro-Schwarzenegger people are those such as yourself who are working hard to install Cruz Bustamante as Governor of California by advocating the candidacy of a no-hoper like McClintock.

To: strela
In your parallel universe, those who support conservatives are therefore not conservatives. That is so strange.

Why?
Six months -- teminator terminated.
Recall II - State Set Right

You're further reinforcing my point. You further reinforce mine every time you post. Keep it up (at least until the pesos run out).

McClintock's political career as a "conservative" is over. Actually, unless we can recall Arnold in six months the career of the Republican Party as a conservative party is over.
And you thought the dems and libs had too much power before that.
To: strela
When JR encouraged Republicans to join the forum I had misgivings. I feared that GOP loyalits would some day destroy his best efforts.
Today I think my misgivings were prophetic.
Strela there must be a forum somewhere that encourages and accepts bashing conservatives. I'd personally appreciate it if you would publish your vitriolic comments over on those venues. I'd like to enjoy the honest exchanges here on FR between those who respect each other.
To: EternalVigilance
Bizarro world was the word you could easily have inserted. You are far too kind to one who has been ever so ungracious with you. Continue to keep your demeanor level -- it will serve you well.

1. Has Tom withdrawn from the race yet?
2. Has Tom expressly endorsed Arnold?
There's no point in discussing whether Tom should be offered a senior state job as a peace gesture until Tom puts up the white flag...and he's quickly running out of time to do it.

Actually, unless we can recall Arnold in six months the career of the Republican Party as a conservative party is over. How can you "recall" somebody who has not even assumed office yet?

I disagree considering the fact that he does not appear to be a 'spoiler' based on recent polls. As long as he is not costing the party a win his position as the spokesman of the Ca 'right' is secure. He has gained NATIONAL recognition as a conservative, and has gained name recognition he couldn't hope to have achieved despite his previous statewide campaign. I think that if Arnold wins he is sitting in the catbird seat to challenge Boxer, if Arnold loses, and he costs the party an opportunity to win then he will probably be relegated to holding onto his State Senators chair as best he can.

Thank God.
If they did, the republic would be doomed.

Go to the following link and scroll away. You'll find large donations by every Republican entity on earth, almost. All the organizations that McClintock says don't support him in the governor's race. Well, they did in the Controllers race but that didn't stop him from blaming them for his loss. Here it is in black and white, the Lincoln Clubs, The CRP, developers, contractors, small business, big business...How does he thank them? He whines about not receiving enough support. No wonder they wanted to dump him this time around.
